I’m in your position except as a guy. I can tell you my wife has swallowed my pee after bjs every day for 16 years. There are no health effects at all in fact she’s in perfect health. My only advice is that I don’t have her do it with the first pee of the morning. It is too concentrated from sleep. Get a few pees out of the way and stay hydrated. It is harmful - there's a reason you piss it out, your body filters out the bad shit. Drinking a little every now and again won't do him much harm, but he shouldn't do it regularly - definitely not every day.

Yuck. But anyway, there is a common misconception that urine is sterile. I even recall being taught that in first aid decades ago. However, it isn't 100% true. Urine is sterile while in the bladder, but any bacteria or fungi you have in your urethra will get flushed out with the urine and "taint" it.
