New partner with long foreskin- how to avoid painful pulling/stretching?

We know that penises are [to some extent] unique and I recently got a partner who features big head and long foreskin down there. His foreskin is hanging about 1 cm under the tip of the penis and even during erection it is still covering the whole head. It fully retracts but when you pull it , it kinda stays behind the head and due to its length it forms sort of a ring of skin and just stays behind the head. All my ex boyfriends have been uncut and I am perfectly fine with foreskins but I am used to less skin and when I pull it - that's it, it just kind of disappears, you forget about it and then you focus on the head. However, this one visibly stays behind the head and not being funny but gets in my way during hand / blow job. If I try to pull it more, due to its length, it is overstretching his banjo / frenulum (the string of skin under, which is attaching the foreskin and the head... I am sure you know :) ). Sometimes I just like to go a bit harder and rough with my hand but if I go over that ring of skin behind the head (which in most cases is inevitable) or I pull it harder or stretch him too much - it obviously hurts him and I feel bad (he once said he felt like I was gonna tear his willy but he was shy to admit during action :/ ) I know I can try and be more gentle and careful, use more lube... but I am starting lose my confidence. Has anybody had such partner and how have you dealt with it?

Mine kind of does the same thing. But if it forms a ring and can't be pulled back over the head, it's because of blood build up. It's actually not supposed to do that, as it can lead to paraphismosis which is really dangerous. It doesn't always do that, but I don't know how to explain why it does that, but it happens when your head becomes larger and wetter than usual.
Yeah, you can pull it back over, you have to wait for it to get softer. I see how it could get in the way when giving a BJ. Honestly, I would suggest just sucking it with the foreskin covering the head, and for a hand job, just place your hand right under the ring and just gently jerk your hand, without actually moving it or moving the skin.

A few more months of stretching is best. The foreskin contains 50-70% of pleasure inducing nerves, and 80% of temperature sensing ones in the penis. people can die from it, though rare, as a large vein is in there, an infection could end the entire organ, and even then, it'll be uncomfortable in general unless you have the best underwear ever. it's bad for females as well. Its head will dry out and keratinize, and leave microtears in anyone they have intercourse with, leaving them more susceptible to infection, disease, or slowly replacing the flesh with less flexible scar tissue. and the rubbing I've heard can be quite bad without lube.

Have him show you how he masturbates, that will give you the best idea of how to please him without hurting him. When giving oral you can use a hand to hold the foreskin forward so it doesn't get uncomfortably tugged on.

With such a long foreskin, you shouldn't need to use lubrication. Let the foreskin rub up and down on the head. You don't need to keep the foreskin pulled back.

He should probably have his frenulum cut. It should be long enough to allow for the skin to be fully retracted without any pain. I think he should ask a doctor about that, otherwise the problem will just persist.
