Olympic Athlete Lolo Jones says she is still a virgin, and she is 29, almost 30, what do you think about that?

When she announced it to the public lately, I was and still am very shocked, surprised to hear that, she has to be very strong mentally in order to have the guys to let the World know that, and she is very beautiful, gorgeous, pretty, hot. Also it is quite very inspiring as well, since we life in a world, life, society, culture were Sex dominates, where people are pressured to be sexually-active all the time, and particularly more at guys more than girls, since male virgins get laughed at, made fun of way more than female virgins. Because I will be honest, I'm 24 years old and I'm still a virgin, although I'm not hardcore innocent though, I've already done first-base, second-base, and third-base, overall, I've done everything with a girl except for sticking it "In", no penis to vagina penetration yet.

  • I'm sorry, but something has to be wrong with you to be almost 30 and to never had sex at all. Humans naturally have sexual feelings and urges. I'm not saying she should go around and f*** every man in sight but its just strange she'll be 30 soon and never found a man to be with. That means she probably has some issues. Maybe she doesn't really like men, maybe she has intimacy issues, maybe she's very insecure, maybe she's afraid of sex or had a bad experience...idk but I wouldn't be congratulating that because its not a sign of healthy development.

    • yeah especially since she is a woman, and women are the gatekeepers to sex

  • Good for her? lol idk. I just feel like I don't understand her "gift" mentality (kind of bugs me too... pretty much in general when I hear it though, nothing personal against her) but anyway with my view on it, I'm kinda meh about her being a virgin. Its cool that she's still sticking to what she wants to do but I think the whole idea of everyone making a big deal out of virginity is dumb and I don' t think its a big deal. I'm not interested in when people first decide to have sex

  • Maybe she hasn't had time to meet the right guy or is waiting for marriage

    • yeah, well her case is inspiring since I'm still technically a virgin

  • I think she's misguided. What reason could there be to preserve your virginity as if it is something sacred? I'm guessing the answer is because of a belief in a man made God. Virginity sanctification makes no sense at all. In fact, it's weird if you look at it rationally. I'll go further, this pervasive notion that if you've had sex you're somehow unclean and dirty is thoroughly sick and dehumanises.

  • very inspiring!

  • That's sad.

    • well, she is a woman, when a woman is a virgin, it is obviously by choice, lol!

    • In her case, she'd (presumably) like to be married. The waiting till marriage thing ... women used to get married in their teens till quite recently. Either you aim to get married young, or you have sex before marriage. Anything else is a waste of what should be something great in your life.

  • Good for her. I don't care.

  • good for her

  • I don't much about this at all because I really don't think athletes have much to offer. I know women like male athletes because of the money they make.

  • Wow and she's pretty not manly looking well that's inspiring

  • I know how hard maintaining virginity is.

  • definetley out of the norm

  • If so, she may have been the only one who wasn't having sex.

    She has posed nude.

  • Wow she must have a good freewill

  • glad I'm not alone

  • i'm proud of her

  • obviousy since she is a woman, they can get laid whenever they want.

  • If she is happy, good for her.

  • good for her, its something she can be proud of

  • 21 and still a virgin but that's good for her

    • saving for marriage?

  • I asked this same question yesterday, weird.

  • It is surprising considering how easy people put it out there now. If that's what she wants to do, good for her. Though, your last sentence makes me wonder if she has a similar definition of virginity, because I see vaginal, anal, and oral all as sex.

  • nothing really
