Oral sex: do you think your grandparents generation was having as much as your generation? What has made the change, if any?

  • love the people who think the older generations diddnt have sex as much as this one, this is totally untrue, they did have sex they did enjoy it and they did the same things as we do now, the main difference is now people are more open about it.

to be fair the thought of my grandparents doing it is kinda odd but its a fact and if the books I found in my grandparents after they died are anything to go by they liked having fun with it, I would like to point out these books were printed early 60's

  • No, this generation is sleazy and nasty as hell.

Too many people in this generation act like sex is the only thing there is to live for. It's f***ing disgraceful. People are going out and abandoning their self respect and dignity so that they can get their genitals wet. Then they are having kids when they are way too young and completely unprepared. Not knowing and not caring that their reckless actions will effect many people down the line. I wish the world hadn't changed in some ways...

    • I tend to agree, though there is a lot of denial over this... the usually argument is "just because we don't k now, it doesn't mean it didn't exist". But from all signs and symptoms, no generation was into sex so much... at least not at the mass level.

    • Yeah, it's sad. I think the attitudes people have towards sex are disgusting. They act like it's recreational activity and that has way more cons than pros! I don't want my children EVER behaving the way some of these skanks out here do. I'd be so disappointed.

  • I think grandparents were having sex just as much as everyone does now... Just not with everyone and not exploiting it as much as everyone else does NOW. If you think about it everyone was married young back in the day and have about 10+ kids! lol

And if they were pervs... And freaking everyone... They didn't have the World Wide Web to share lol!

    • Think of it: the people who have the most sex (with the most number of partners) usually make sure they have the fewest number of kids. Usually zero. (The kids would hamper their sex, of course!)

    • Naw... I know sluts with a grip of kids. Terrible but true.

  • I'd say first, there was a lot going on that we wouldn't think.

But, sexual education and information has really changed. Men better understand the importance of clitoral stimulation. Also, our culture has changed a lot and people understand gender better.

Basically, I think that younger generations appreciate the truth that sex should be a mutual experience, and oral sex is a big part of that.

  • No. It really took off in the early 1970s as a more mainstream activity. Partly it was probably because of loosening ideas around sex.

I also suspect the impact of high circumcision rates post ww2 in the u.s. contributed to oral becoming a 'go to' move instead of manual stimulation.

  • They probably did it but not excessively like the current generations are.

Too shy to talk about it too...

  • I'm pretty sure they were very much into it as the current generations only thing is it was more hush hush.

  • Damn straight they were.

Every generation of kids thinks they "discovered" oral sex and threesomes and orgies.

Open a history book sometime, and see what people got up to 100 years ago. It will blow your mind.

  • I think society is over-sexualised. Pop and fashion is revolved around sex appeal. Internet has made p*rn widely distributed - I read when 14y/os are interviewed, they don't believe there are anyone at their age who have not seen hardc*re p*rn.

That said, it wouldn't surprise me if some empirical study showed our grand parents were just as sex-crazed as we are now. I mean, afterall, it's sex. Just because it's done behind closed doors doesn't mean they weren't getting any.
