Hair is on your pubic regions for a reason, like eyebrows, it protects debris from getting inside. Sounds to me like you have a yeast infection or vaginittis. I have had the same thing happen to me-but to the point where it peeled and bled a little. I would suggest not touching the area-especially since the skin is raw from shaving. and only cleaning it with water since soap (especially sented soap) can irritate it. Go to walmart, CVS, or any drug store and buy monostat, it is an anti-fungal medicine that you usually put in before you go to sleep-I found this gave me very fast relief. It usually comes with anti-itch cream that also helps to relieve the discomfort. Yougurt is made with bateria and my doctor actually suggested eating youngurt and green leafed vegetables. Stay away from sugary drinks and food because that will help the fungus grow. If you see the doctor she will most likly prescribe diflucan. A tablet you can take. but seeing the doctor is probablly unnecessary-just buy the monostat. Hope this helped!
0 0 0 0Buy some baby rash vaseline type lotion, like A +D. It could be that you are itching it too much and your pants maybe making the issue worse. If the condition gets worse or the lotion doesn't seem to be helping go to a doctor and see if its contact dermititus or microorganism caused.
Razors may not be the option for you, maybe you should try waxes? I do that and it only itches again once you need to wax again. Listen to the other ladies in this discussion, pubic hair does provide you protection from infection so you may not want to lop it all off, just keep it short. I heard the new Schick Quattro is good for that. Its a razor on one side and a shaver on the other side.0 0 0 0

3 0I would guess it's caused by the shaving. It's a very sensitive area and the skin is very delicate. Probably dry skin, like when you shave your legs and don't use shaving lotion.
0 0 0 0Same thing is happening to me as well. I shaved about 3 days ago, I'm am sexually active, however I haven't been in over 2 weeks. I did use a different shaver and it was one that had a lot more material around the blade, the ones that have lots of that shaving gel on it. I haven't been super itchy but I could tell I was a bit irritated.. I thought it was from the hair growing back because this happens sometimes. When I felt down there it was also swollen and than I saw my skin was peeling, like when you have a sun burn. I'm going to wait for it or go away because it isn't painful just very weird but I've been putting coconut oil so I hope this helps.
What was the outcome of your problem? Did it go away?0 0 0 0I would go tell your mom immediately. I don't think you need to ask her in any specific manner, just tell her what happened.
I'm guessing that most likely it is some kind of reaction from shaving. I had a similar reaction, but it was on my underarms. My skin got really itchy and red, then it started to peel, and bleed a little, but not too much. I went to the doctor, and they gave me some sort of steroid cream because I had basically itched my underarms raw. My skin is extremely sensitive and I think it was just some random reaction to shaving.0 0 0 0
