Pain when inserting a tampon?

Okay, I'm trying to insert a tampon for the first time, and it just feels weird. And my hymen (I'm guessing) is hurting when I put the end of the tampon up to my vagina. I can't get more then 1/4 inch of the way in. Help!!

I recommend that you lubricate the the tip of the plastic with Vaseline to help it slip better. Pull out the bottom stick till you hear a click or fell a click/bump. Make sure you either have one leg standing on something or both of your legs evenly spread out. Take it gently. Insert about 1/3 of the plastic stick inside you, and then push the bottom stick (with the string) back inside the top stick inside slowly. While you’re doing all that relax your shoulders to ease up some of the stress you may be feeling already. You probably will feel some discomfort but it will take getting used to. Masturbation before hand can be helpful if you are comfortable with that. When your body is aroused and/or relaxed, it is much easier to insert tampons or... any other phallic objects 😂

I will try vaseline. And I was sitting on the bathroom floor with my legs out so maybe that's another problem. I would do masturbation but I can't get myself aroused, but thanks.

What kind are you using? Meaning if its meant for light flow or heavy or whatever. If you are trying to use one that is labeled "super" or higher it could be the problem

If your hymen is still intact you will probably have a much easier time sticking with pads. You can work on it but yeah, it's gonna hurt.

Yeah, it will hurt a bit, just start small and work your way up till you can get a tampon in. What size tampons are you try to use?

Don't know what those look like and Google isn't much help. But I'm guessing they are pretty narrow. I know I have seen some that aren't much thicker than a pencil.

Angle towards your back. Also try lubing the tip. Maybe get a mirror and look inside and see how narrow the opening is.

U shouldn't use tampons then. U can stretch ur hymen. But it doesn't count as virginity loss though. U need something bigger to tear it completely.

Just try to break the hymen. Normally a sex toy like a dildo does the job but seeing that you are underage I don't how you could buy one.

ok so i did some reading and they say it might hurt because you are so nervous and stressed out which will make your vagina smaller. so try to find a time when you are relaxed and your forgot about it then quickly put it in before you have a chance to get stressed out.

It should never hurt when placing one in even when it's the 1st time. It might not be enough blood to slide it in. Or you may be using to wrong size

Then you are probably clenching your muscles to much or putting in at the wrong angle if you are relaxed and at the right angle it shouldn’t hurt and if it does then maybe go get check out buy and obgyn

You don’t want to go straight up you want to angle it more towards your lower back
