Painful to pull his foreskin back?

So, my boyfriends foreskin completely covers his penis when he's erect and the opening of his foreskin naturally sits on the underside of his penis head. So I was giving him a hand job for the first time last night and as I've never given a hand job before I was trying to figure out what was pleasurable for him. As I was trying different things, I pulled back his foreskin a little bit with the motion of my hand and he immediately stopped me saying that it was painful. Later when I asked him what feels good for him he told me that everything I was doing was great, but just try not to pull the foreskin back because it's really, really painful. Is that normal/healthy?

  • Not everybody has this problem but it's not rare, I have this problem and I tried stretching the frenulum with oil(don't pull too hard as it can break and lead to problems), this doesn't work straight away so tell him to keep doing it for a few weeks and it'll become easier to pull down(best to do in shower), or he could get a circumcision but I would advise not to

When I couldn't pull it down I use to masturbate but not pull the skin down and it made little difference and I was still able to ejaculate and have an orgasm

    • I don't know how to suggest this to him without hurting his feelings. Any suggestions?

    • Just tell him that you both know it hurts for him, you want to make it better for him, say that I've heard you can sort out the problem andinstead of you telling him what to do he might actually prefer reading these messages or searching online about stretching it out He'll probably be happy that there's a solution(as I didn't know there was one) and because you told him it makes him know you care for him

    • Your boyfriend have a phimosis

  • Some men have a foreskin that does not stretch or grow as it should. He should seek medical guidance for that and they will help him with it. The foreskin should be easily drawn back over the head of the penis, if its been a while, then it may be a little tight but not painful. Try a bit of lubricant and see if that makes any difference, perhaps encourage him to retract it regular it may stretch the skin. But if all else fails he should go to GP.

  • I don't know if I can say that's abnormal but when I gave a handjob to an uncut guy his foreskin was moving with my hand and he said it wasn't hurting him when I asked. Also, I'm pretty sure uncut guys should be able to pull it back to clean properly so maybe it is a problem he has

  • No it is not normal and he's not completely healthy for sure. A "healthy" foreskin should be pulled all the way back without making him feel any pain and getting is glans completely exposed... you should tell him to plan a visit at a urologist

  • It happens. My son was not circumcised at birth, and we had the procedure done later (for sanitation reasons) because the skin could not be pulled all the way back.

  • y'all need to listen to me---- You need to do some foreskin-stretching exercises daily for a while.. this will loosen things up nicely. Use a penis health crème for moisturization and skin protection and things will go smoothly and quickly. You can get a crème like this online. Hope this helps.

  • Dear dudes: If you still have a foreskin and you suffer from hygiene problems, I would suggest purchasing a lotion made for your genitals so that your penis is hydrated with essential nutrients and ingredients that really help fortify and strengthen your penis. I use one called Man1 Man Oil. All it takes is applying it after you shower, and you’ll see results quickly. So much softer, smoother, healthier and better all-around. Try it out!

  • This used to be a problem for me. However, after having it pulled back repeatedly, it is no longer painful to do so.

  • When I had mine it was extremely painfull to stretch it back over the pink part.

  • That's odd. It doesn't hurt me when my foreskin is pulled back.

  • It sounds like he has phismosis, which is a medical condition where the foreskin cannot be pulled back

  • my opening was more on the upper side

  • My foreskin is very tight

  • His foreskin is propably too tight, he may need too be circumcised. I would ask him to get a doctor appointment. :)

  • He should go to see a doctor if he always feel bad!

  • That's not at all the way it should be like. He should have it circumcised. Better late than never... :-)

  • i should avoid giving hand jobs or bjs to uncircumcised guys then if its gonna hurt them lol

  • It is not uncommon and is one of the potential issues with not getting circumcised. He should be able to pull it back completely, this is usually done to clean it. If he can't, he may want to practice doing so. Skin stretches and he should eventually be able to pull it back without it hurting. He will probably need to be able to do that to have sex successfully.

If he can't resolve the problem himself, he can see his doctor or a urologist and they can determine how best to resolve the problem.
