Okay I understand terrible period so here's a few things I do! First do you have a magic bag or heat packages made for period cramps? If so heat up the magic bag or apply to heat package to your lower abdomen. A hot compress does help. Also if you took the painkillers a while ago your able to take one or two more depending on what they are (read the bottle) so I'd suggest taking another of those. moderate exercise also helps, although when your in so much pain it's the last thing you want try taking a short walk it'll ease your cramps. If your able too cuddle up after doing the above and watch a movie put light pressure on your belly and hopefully it should be the cherry on top of the sundae. Good luck! I hope some of these tips help you.
ps. As much as I didn't want to add this the guys who commented on this question are right. Orgasms do come from the same muscles and they can help reduce cramps.1 1 0 0Thanks for agreeing with me...I used to work with all women so I heard these things!
I couldn't disagree when it's the truth lol and ha ha makes sense
There are several things you could try :
-put a bottle of warm water on your lower stomach. No boiling water, but still warm enough to get the heat through your clothes and gut. It often helped me, I suppose it helps your muscle relax :)
-sitting if you have to wait somewhere. Standing for too long increases my pain, so I would suggest sitting as often as you can.
You can take some painkillers again, but you have to wait several hours between pills. Read the booklet enclosed with the meds to know how long you have to wait :)
Good luck, I hope it'll get better soon !2 0 0 0sitting in a squat position helps a lot, against a wall
or sleep on your side in baby position, legs curled toward you
or try doing some yoga poses there's lots of videos on YouTube
drink hot fluids, lots of tea! get chamomile tea to calm your nerves, soups...
take a hot shower or warm bath- this is probably the best! it always soothes the pain because the hot water hits your tummy and calms it down you can put epson salt in bathwater and lavendar oil too
or just put a hot compress on your tummy like those heating pads or fill a water bottle with hot water1 0 0 0

I am sorry to hear about your pain...not trying to be funny but orgasms do help..also exercise and maybe something to rehydrate you!
5 stars1 0 0 0The same muscles that cause the cramps are the same that orgasm..orgasms will help your period end sooner.
I hope you start feeling better! Are tampons bothering you?
When I'm home I wear pads for some odd reason. So no, nothing is bothering me down there. And thank you so much for your help and understanding.
Take another pill perhaps? You can go over the daily dosage as long as you aren't overdoing it.

10 2Maybe seeing a doctor isn't a bad idea. Yes everyone has them but some get it worse than others. I know someone who used to pass out by the severity of her cramps.
1 1 0 0Some of these ideas are ridiculous. Orgasms to cure cramps? That's a really bad idea as your lower body can cramp upon release. Endorphins will mask the effect for only so long and your period can be 1-2 weeks long.
I get period pains that are to the point where I can't breath, walk, or move every month. You have to get medicine prescribed for it. If you can't go to the doctor, go to a drug store and only use Motrin. Take about 500mg of that every 5 hours and drink lots of fluids, as you can be come dehydrated. Don't can acetaminophen because it isn't the best candidate for this type of pain.1 1 0 0good answer
It's a combo of being a science major and intense months of pain. :(
Orgasms do help have you tried it?
I smoke weed to get rid of my cramps.
Other than that, I drink hot ginger honey tea..2 1 1 0I was thinking of posting my slightly illegal cannabis miracle cure. :p If you're not afraid to try it at home, getting high relaxes every muscle in your body - including the tense muscles in your abdomen. If you can't do that, my pre-pothead days go to cure was a heating pad and a nap.
Haha, the heat pad works just as well.. ^_^
I've had this a couple of times. Just take a position that makes hurt it less, no matter how weird. Take another painkiller. If this happens every time, then go to the OB/GYN.
0 1 0 0eat bananas. walk around. try stretching. those help me, I used to have insane cramps. if you aren't on birth control go on it, it does help relive cramps. I have been on because since I was 15 to help deal with them.
