No idea when this was posted but, I've got a few counterpoints as to why scientific measurements are the way they are. First off if he measure it "bone-pressed" five inches, then insertable depends on his how much fat he has around the area of his penis. If he has a low amount then you're pretty much able to get the 5 in. However, if he's a bit of an overweight guy, fat is somewhat malleable, it definitely can be compressed with some pressure, but only to an extent, you'll most likely lose a bit of length. Never measure underside its inaccurate. The reason they measure bonepressed is because they're not finding insertable, they are finding total length. Because some people have more fat than other, most of the time that fat can be lossed so they measure to the pubic bone. The penis doesn't get smaller if you get fatter it just gets hidden a bit. So for length if his bodyweight is decent, you'll get 5. If overweight probably at max you'll lose.5-1in insertable. Now as for girth, there is a big reason you dont average out different parts of the penis, you should always measure it at its thickest point to give an accurate description. Penises come in all shapes and sizes. Let's do a scenario. Say a man has a upper girth of 5, mid of 6, and a back to 5 at the base. This leaves you with an average of 5.3, awesome. But wait 5.3 is already decently thick and 6 is pretty thick and girth is definitely where you are gonna notice an extra half an inch. But you go ahead and let you partner know hey I'm only 5.3 in girth, they may be rather small or petite and they say that's a good thickness I dont thing I could take much more than that. When you go to that mid shaft there's gonna be a surprise and definitely some discomfort. While this is not as common it is possible and you have to account for all possibilities. Another way to look at it is say 5, 5, 6, quite a few people have a thicker base area, if she can't take 6 but can do the 5, you've lost a bit of insertable length there haven't you. No these are hypotheticals but they still apply in the real world. So bottom line don't average things out, you must always consider the highest number for insertable because it is always a possibility. Bone-pressed is the best way to get true length then based on his body fat you can assume the insertable amount. So to tie this up, balls will move out of the way the way, never do an under measurement it's just not accurate. No matter how hard your going at it that pubic bone is solid and your not getting past it. If he has a healthy amount of body fat you'll get the 5. If he's not tell him to loose some weight if you want the full 5. :P
Hope this was insightful and remember it's all about they way you use it.0 0 0 0I'm not a girl. But I do have an opinion and observation.
The world of penis size/measurement and its "scientific" body of work is ridiculous and poorly assessed. In all honesty, I think that all the medical studies have it all WRONG. The methodology they use is USELESS, their methods may sound good on paper, but in the real world it actually holds no value.
They measure using bone-pressed methods, which is used as some sort of control, but in all it has no value regarding the penis and its actual application (sex). You're not going to be able to insert your 'fat-pad' into a girl, right? See? These studies are stupid. If they really want to get a measurement that actually means something then should measure penises
non-bone-pressed, because seriously! Think about it!
They should also account for both dorsal side and ventral side measurements (top-side and underside). They should either take the average of these two measurements or take the smaller one. Why take the smaller one you ask? Because that would be the actual insertable length, the side with the bigger measurement is actually obstructed and limited by the shorter side (for example, if you look at a realistic dildo on a online store, they mention that the total length is 7 inches, but also mention that the insertable length is 6 inches or whatever, since the balls are in the way)
Also another thing! The measuring of girth (circumference) and its methods are ridiculous as well. In most practices they say to measure it around the thickness point, but that's is an extremely flawed method. Think about this, there are two guys, one guy's penis head is 5 inches around, but his shaft is much thinner, whereas other guy's penis' shaft's girth is 5
inches around, so would you say that both guys have the same girth? NO, you wouldn't! The best method I can think of is to measure it along 3 points, just under the head, mid-shaft and near the base. Then afterward you take the average. THAT should be the true girth!
I hope this makes sense to everyone, because it sure does to me.0 1 0 0Damn, that makes a lot of sense! thanks for answer.

I don't really know, but I do know that it's recommended to measure from the top. I'm not sure if that's the reason, but I guess it might be.
0 0 0 0Going to have about an inch of lips to go through before it is inserted inside so I would guess about 3"

I always thought 5 inches was 5 inches, I guess maybe I've been misinformed?! :o(
0 0 0 25 I'm pretty sure
0 0 0 2I've read somewhere that its always bigger than guys think it is. Like, you're looking at it from above, so it seems smaller to you, but it probably isn't. don't freak out. ^^ and I agree 5 is 5 is 5.
