  • I use to get wicked cramps until I had a baby, no I don't recomend you have a baby lol. I was very regular and I found that I would get signs that I was about to start and found taking extra strengh advil the day or night before helped a lot. I use to get cramps that hurt like I was in labour so I know first hand what you are going through. Also try having a hot bath. Another thing is I would lay in bed and brought my knees to my chest and would rock side to side it sounds werid but it helped me. Also stay away from salty and fatty foods durning that time.

    • Thanks so much!

  • go to an ob gyn! there are different, stronger medications you can take. birth control is an option--though that should probably be your last resort. but anyway, it's possible you could have endometriosis or something like that, so talk to a doctor. I totally know how you feel--typically my cramps are somewhat controllable, but a couple of months ago I had a string of 3-4 months of cramps that were quite literally the worst pain I have ever felt in my life.

    • oh, have your cramps always been like this or is it a recent development?

    • They've always been like this but this is the worst I couldn't even concentrate during school

    • ah. yeah, I know what you mean. well, I was going to add something if it was a recent development, like mine were, but nevermind. good luck!

  • Get some fresh air. Do regular things. Try to think of it as least as possible.

Or groan about it and really exaggerate your pain. To yourself, of course. Don't annoy others.

It's what I do. In time, it should pass. Feel better!

  • I don't know if it help you now but you could try taking a multiviamin that has iron in it. it really helped my older sister.

  • Birth control?

  • this is gonna sound like a horrible idea but exercise helps. My daughter has very bad cramps as well and assumes the fetal position with a heating pad and motrin when she has her cramps but sometimes it just isn't enough even when she feels like throwing up I tell her to get on the elliptical for 10 minutes and run it off. It actually does help her. Now she will run before it starts hurting and that helps too. it goes against what your body is telling you but it helps your uterus to do it's job. try it.
