I did pregnancy test (day 15 after the "intercourse") and it's negative. Do you think the result is accurate?

  • This article here explores the survivability of semen in different kinds of conditions, including inside the mouth:

And from the sounds of it, it might be able to survive for a pretty long time ^^

    • But can it survive after drinking carbonated energy drink and chewing gum?

    • You could always test it, lol. It'd be funny to find out. Don't ask me how though.

  • Try it? I normally don't put it in my mouth nor do i keep it there for 5h... and what could happen?

  • No it can’t, especially if you’ve eaten or drank anything. However, if this is something that concerns you then getting on and being deligent about birth control is probably a priority

    • Drunk energy drink amd chewed gum. Check out my other 2 questios to see what is it about. I will be so glad if you share your opinion!😕

  • No, Jessy. Sperm doesn't last very long at all in the mouth. No matter if you are a man or woman.

    • You are safe, it is accurate and tell @coolbreeze here, it won't rot anyone's white teeth. Haha

    • Do you think i did the test too early. Because those are 15 days after "the intercourse" not after the ovulation?

    • Don't waste any more of your time and money or on anyone else here. haha I am telling you you are good. And the sperm? Vitamins.

  • No but semen can rot your teeth.

    • So i don't have to worry?

    • No worries. You will be fine.

    • Hope you are right!🤗

  • No it can't.

    • I should add, it can if it is in the uterus, and there have been odd cases where it is in a damp warm atmosphere, but the mouth isn't one of those places as far as I understand it.

    • Yes, I would take it as being accurate.

    • Sperm cells live for 5 days. So at the latest it may have been fertilization 5 days after "the intercourse". Which means 10 days after the eventual fertilization (a total of 15 days after the "intercourse") the early pregnancy test is supposed to show accurate results.

  • Saliva will kill it.

  • That's highly unlikely to happen but you never know, exceptions do exist.

  • Again?
