Should I circumcise my son or not?

He'll be born soon... My husband wants him circumcised just like himself. I think it's awfully wrong to want to cut a baby, because you are cut. I figured, it would be best to let him decide later on in life if he wants to go through the procedure.

if he doesn't have a condition that makes it neccessary, you should let him make the decision later on.
I would do it when he won't remember the pain.
You can make that argument for rape. In fact, rape doesn't cause permanent physical scarring and doesn't leave you objectively mutilated.

@Thisperson98 Well of course. Physical injuries suffered because of rape are temporary. Physical injury suffered from circumcision is permanent.
@Mesonfielde people have died due to physical injuries from rape, have been given hiv, severe prolapse of the anal or vaginal cavity can also happen. Stop comparing these two issues.
People also have died from circumcision. Some people actually commit suicide because of it.

i think that it is wrong as well. also the foreskin provides a lot of feeling during sex (for me atleast) i think your son is old enough he can decide for himself. alos the foreskin is not supposed to be retracted before puberty, some people circumcise their boys because they think the foreskin is too tight.
