Should I wear groin protection to play racquetball?

I'm a beginner and I googled it and got kind of a mixed signal. Some said yes wear a jock and cup. Some said just wear the jockstrap. Then on ehow a pro said to "most importantly grab your cup!" but then I saw on a yahoo answers question that a cup isn't recommended! I'm so confused help! Cup, just a jockstrap or nothing?

  • Try wearing it/them, and do some moves that you will be doing during the game. Make sure that it's not too distracting or uncomfortable. I don't know the actual answer. If it doesn't bother you to wear it during the action, then there is nothing bad about wearing it just in case.

  • I strongly recommend a cup. Whether or not you wear a jock with it or not is really up to you and what works for you, but if you get whacked in the sack with a ball moving at 70 MPH, you'll REALLY wish you were wearing a cup.

  • I don't have testicles, but if I had, I'd probably want to wear a cup wherever there are balls flying in the air...

    • Well you should wear a cup when there are balls flying in the air regardless. The groin is still just as weak on a woman as it is on a man
