the other day I met an old girlfriend I had grown up with, we went to a bar for some drinks. when she got there she told me she couldn't take off her jacket because she had a hickey from the night before, we're 23 now... if hanging out with her wasn't enough, this comment definitely made me feel like I was in jr high again. who gives hickey's?

Well some people that are still in their teens want them to show off to friends to show that in other words they are getting some. My brother for example he is 15 he came home bragging to our parents about his hicky and dint stop bragging until everyone knew about it. I'm not saying most people are like that but quite a few are

I think they are accidentally... in the middle of passion, it isn't intentionally done, but you are kissing and nibbling and before you know it you have sucked in on the skin without meaning to... perhaps because your mind (and/or hands) were elsewhere...

There's no point to doing it... it just happens...
