It's a very dicey subject, but most studies are finding that women actually do have some level of attraction towards other women. That doesn't mean they are lesbian or bi, just that most women find a certain amount of eroticism from the female form. Those that are attracted enough to act on that attraction do fall into the lesbian/bi/bi-curious distinction.
