You might want to because you can get all sorts of things from oral sex. Going forward.. use condoms if the person is a stranger. I think it's weirder to use a condom during a blowjob than not. The only STD you could theoretically get this way is gonorrhea but it's unlikely.

Well you would prabably see the herpes on her lip, the gonorrhea can present without symptoms.

The sores are just as often inside the mouth, and sometimes there are no signs at all. @asker the test for herpes isn't 100% effective inked the infection is active. In short, you won't know for certain if you have it, until you have an active infection yourself. Herpes causes warts that burst open into sores that go away after several weeks. There not always there, only when the infection is active, and it goes through cycles of active and dormant. (My mother a is sexual assault nurse; oh the stories I never wanted to hear!)

It wouldn't hurt to get tested. Wait about 3 mths, then do it (sometimes they take time to show). You probably are fine and have nothing to worry about, but you can get STI's from oral. So to be sure, yes get tested.
