Yes, obviously societally the norm is for males (not females) so many females view it as morally wrong. Secondly women simply do not have as high of a sex drive as men, that's just scientifically speaking teststerone vs. estrogen. Thirdly women don't have as much of a need, a somewhat attractive female could have a different guy everyday of the week if she so wished, however it's much harder to get some as a male. Lastly (that I can think of at the moment) is because boners are more noticeable, I used to jerk it 8times a day to try and keep the random boners away during school and such when I was around 15 or so... anyway that's why I believe more men do lol XP

Most men in their teens masturbate once a day, often several times a day. Women dont get the associated "build up" of semen and pressure down there that gets worse until its released, hence why some females seem to be able to go weeks without it and this would not be possible for men, not least because he would have a lot of wet dreams if we tried.
Probably. But the more societally acceptable it becomes for women to be open about their own masturbation, it seems the more women are feeling more comfortable with the idea of even DOING it themselves, whereas before they might have shied away more from even doing it [thinking it's dirty, impure, 'good girls' don't do that or show sexual desire/personality, that's something 'guys do', etc], let alone ever admitting it to anyone. I think men are still more prone to masturbate, especially regularly, due to much higher testosterone levels, but men and women are more evenly matched in this area than they ever used to be, at least openly, that's for sure.
Yes because women are generally taught that this is a vulgar, men-only activity. While some women may just be more private about it, I think that some women are also just generally repulsed by the idea. As women ago, though, I think they're more and more likely to realize that there's nothing wrong with masturbation and actually do it.

I think studies have shown that more men masturbate than women. Interestingly whole books have been written on why women should try masturbating more often.
I don't know if more men masturbate than women, but virtually all men masturbate.
I think it's pretty equal. Since some women tend to be embarrassed about masturbation, they don't admit that they do. Because of that, statistics show than men masturbate more. But I think it's pretty much equal.

I think its about equal. Men are more honest about being sexual than women are from what I've seen. Some women have high sex drives but most deny it because women are trained to believe that being too sexual is slutty .
I seem to recall reading a study that said that about 95% of men have masturbated at some point in their life, but only 80% of women. I think it was an older study though, probably more even now.
I think in the past, more men masturbated and more often. More recently I think more women are open to masturbation but, after adolescence, do not masturbate anywhere near as often as men.
