Tubing down a river while on my period?

Okie, so tomorrow I'm going tubing. However, I'm either going to start my period today or tomorrow. I've been tubing a lot (on a river for a few hours). What will I do when I'm on my period, especially if I start tomorrow instead of today? I'll be on the river for about 4 hours. Should I just use a tampon and hope that it doesn't leak through? HELP!

I think a tampon should be fine,also being in the water slows the period down a little. I would try checking every once in a while if you can to make sure all is good.

you will be in a river so no need to worry about sharks! don't worry...go tubing.
