my boyfriend and I were recently talking about what we want to try out .. positions and stuff.. he said he would like us to watch "stuff" together and get ideas... is this a good idea or not? I'm kinda worried he'll compare my body to someone else.. i also am not liking the idea maybe I'm not gonna be the one turning him on but its something.. or someone else... i want to but don't? whats your opinion? yes? or no?

Their are DVD's you can get that are instructional about anything to do with sex. You could get one of these because for the most part they are average people in them not super models.

They show you techniques and positions without really having sex in most cases.

This can also tell you if he is interested in new positions and techniques or if he just wants to watch porn with you. My personal experience is that some women think about it in the way you do with is he going to compare me to the women in the porn. I think that is impossible to say because each guy has his own mind and way of thinking. To be honest I do not think I have ever seen a whole porn movie with a woman usually about 5 minutes in we are in the bedroom or somewhere not even paying attention to the movie. I do have several porn movies but rarely watch them maybe 3 times a year. I do not hide them from my girlfriend she just says I will not watch that one if she does not like it or the title of it but she is very open minded so that's not a problem.

I look at it like dating. The more you date and the more people you are with the more you learn about sex, be it positions, fantasies, toys whatever. You get the benefits of your partners previous encounters so you would also get the benefits of him watching porn. However I do believe one can go overboard with watching porn be it watching too much of it or getting into kinky porn when he knows you are not into that if that is the case. You can also learn more about what your partner is really like by the porn he picks out.

Its a personal choice, he has been using it most guys do. So he isn't comparing you to a porn star... you are real, the relationship is real and so is the sex. Guys are visual they need that for the happy ending. Depends if you try it, it might have good or bad affects on you and the relationship, he is being honest and open with you. It would be a good idea to be honest and open with him and tell him how you feel, if you are open to trying it once and see how it goes or not. Only you know what is right for you...

Personally, I don't like watching porn with my boyfriend, or any guy at that. It's so hard to be serious, it makes me laugh. But porn by myself, that's a different story. I guess it's worth a try.
