I was and I I was into this for a long time until I started a healing process with my fiancé that involved him mimmicking my repeat rapist's MO but instead of forcing me to have sex or being rough, he would gently hold me and tell me that nothing could ever ever ever happen to me again. Not like holding a knife at my throat, but he'd have me wear tights and a little-girl type dress that i would've worn when I was that young, he'd take me into the bathroom, leave a closed pocket knife on the counter, stuff like that. It was terrifying at the time but it sounds like the boy you're talking to needs to heal.

You should find out what his past relationships were like or how his up bringing was like. This type of thing sounds more like a bi-product of being sexually or psychologically abused at some point and so he feels this is the norm of how to treat someone you are interested in. I'd start asking questions and if you're not into that stuff, don't bother with it. It can lead to serious injuries or death in some cases if he doesn't know how to control his violent urges.

well its either enjoys adrenaline rush type of actions, meaning he could be either on drugs or addicted to doing dangerous or crazy things like sky diving, doing stunts, playing with fire, etc. Also he could be addicted to pain, pain also release adrenaline and other chemicals in the brain to help one relax, add that with pleasure of sex, and you got an addiction.
