What do you say during sex in America?

I'm french and going to college here. My boyfriend is American though and I was sleeping with him for the first time last night. And I moaned 'ohh ya, oh my love' in his ear and he said 'my love' is not what you say here during sex. I felt very stupid then and I'd like what should say instead

Make sure not to use metric in any way as they don't understand it, post anything you want to say to your SO on his/her wall on FB and when your done you must sing the national anthem out loud. If the sex is very good you may even say "God bless Americans".

North Americans are scared of the word "love." You shouldn't feel stupid about what you said. That was a natural reaction and just a wrong direct translation. Instead of saying mon amour, you could swap it with his name..."Oh, oh yes ____!" Or moaning is good too. It's not that what you said wasn't right, or wasn't special, it's just that LOVE has very strong connotations.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with saying "my love." It's his reaction that is weird. There is no "normal" thing for people to say in bed whether it be in North America, France, the Netherlands or Africa. You should tell him that you said "my love" out of affection. You don't have to say "f/ck me." Tell him that to you, as a French woman, saying tender things like "my love" is more natural and sensual then "f/ck my brains out." I get it, I'm European.
