I kind of feel the same way about gazing intensely into someones eyes while having sex. I think if someone stared at me like that the whole time I would be a little freaked out.
Where I look all depends on what position we are in. If his face is close to mine or we are kissing my eyes are usually closed. Then I switch from looking at his face, his body (if I'm touching him, I'll look there), and if I am in a position where I can see him penetrating me I will look there. My guy has told me that he likes it when I bite my lips when I look at him. I didn't even realize I did that until he said something about it.
I don't ever remember laughing. But I do remember watching this movie where a girl and guy were having crazy sex and she was laughing hysterically and slapping the him in the face. I do think that laughing is a little strange during sex even if you're not hysterical and slapping faces.
It's pretty bad to laugh, I wouldn't recommend it. Personally I think eye contact is a turn on, it means you're engaged in it, it's also more intense. Like I mentioned though - its personal preference. If you're not comfortable with eye contact, you can always just keep your eyes closed or let them wander on his body

We sometimes have eye contact. I'm a smiler unless I'm being well taken care of ;). I think you're fine as long as your face isn't deranged or looks like you're in pain. Laughing is usually a no, unless he's telling knock-knock jokes during sex...
I've known women who actually laugh or giggle when at the actual act too. But that's OK that's human and woman lol

If my partner has her eyes closed, I would feel she was into enjoying the moment. If she was looking at my body, I would feel she was adding to her enjoyment by enjoying the image of my body. If she was looking into my eyes, I would think she was not fully caught up in the physical, sexual act. But then again, I would not know where she was looking because I would be looking at her body until climax then closing my eyes and enjoying th moment, so I could not see her eyes.
