I've used the Pill for years, first to regulate my cycle and then for birth control. All my side effects are good ones, but that's not going to be the case for everyone.
I don't like the idea of the shot or the implant because if they caused unpleasant side effects, I'm stuck with them for weeks and weeks (shot) or years (implant, unless i go to the trouble and expense of having it removed). Also, on the Pill, my periods are clockwork-regular, which probably won'dnt be the case with the implant.
There is not a universal best, but more like a "best for you". I am due to have my implant put in soon. I was pill and Nuva Ring for many years and loved them both.
I'm just ready to never think about birth control again since I'll be menopausal by the time it's done.

I don’t have to worry about it every day. I can skip periods and it’s a low dose because of the delivery system
Don't get the mirena. I can tell you that much it works because I didn't get pregnant but it caused an issue when I was getting it removed it didn't want to come out and once it did there was some scar tissue on it. And I have been told that I'm the unlucky 1% affected up to a year after removal. So I'm not happy about it. My huband and I are trying for a baby even though chances are slim we will get pregnant before June
The pill for me just made me moody and put on tonnes of weight. I currently work with the Injection and apart from the dislike of needles I have nothing negative to report of it, don't mind a jab every three months.
I like the depo shot myself, least side effect for me. I've never done the ring or injection.
I’ve only tried the pill, and it works great for me. My acne is gone and my boobs grew. Also my periods are super light and last like 2 days.
