Is it like diarrhea? explain it in terms of something men can relate to.

I'm sorry, when I said "gross" it was my way of apologizing for bringing up a very personal topic. I don't really think it's gross.

  • It's like hell. Like someone stabbing you in the pelvis and a weight coming down on your hips and legs.

  • Aunt flo came to town a riding on her raaaaaaaaaag, my girlfriend told me no sex to-night...what a f**kin' draaaaag.

    • Wow lmfao

  • I think after reading this I'd rather have my balls kicked rly hard than have periods. uhhh and being kicked in the balls KILLS!

    • Sounds like a fair trade.

    • Yes it hurts very badly... no understatement intended. That hurts unimaginably... I'm not going to compare, because theirs may las so much longer, but its killer! Sincerely, A Loving Black Man

    • I think that period pain and getting hit in the nuts painn are probably nearly identical. I think the pain is in the same places basically, and goes through the same nerves. From what i hear ball pain hurts in your lower abdomen and can make you sweaty, dizzy, and naucious.. I don't think we girls have it so bad though. Iwould rather be able to expect and plan on pain than to suddenly have such pain just because i bumped myself on something or fell or moved wrong or someone thought it would be funny to hit me there. I think it must be awful to always have to guard your nuts, always be careful and aware of your most sensitive and delicate parts that are just hanging off your body in a VERY vulnerable way. I would also rather get a whole months worth of ball pain in a few days and then it's over. but i do think that always protecting your sensitive balls is a big part of why men are more agressive, more defensive and deliberately stronger...

  • like you have to take a poo

  • OKAY...well starting a week before my period I get very moody, and ill cry for any reason. oh and I do have a breakout of a few pimples =[[[. the day before me period arrives my lower back hurts. The day I actually get my period is the worst because I feel soooo tired, and drained of energy, the cramps are like a slow and steady pain that lasts all day. now ( sorry if this is nasty) I've started using tampons, so I feel nothing all day while on my period, but if I don't use them I feel like a thick liquid that slowly dribbles out when you least expect it lol. its weird because when I laugh or sneeze too hard I can feel it coming down very quick. anyway its very uncomfortable, wet feeling...very annoying process that last (for me) 4 days. oh and most girls get extremely horny right before/after their periods. so yeah hope that helps!

  • Crampy and it's really messy...No it is not like diarrhea...

  • it actually feels like peeing your pants, except its totally uncontrollable. sometimes I also get nauseous when I get my period and I am unable to eat.

  • I think that the cramps hurt, and well it's all in all a pain

  • omg its sooooo painful...it does feel like peeing your pants a little. and I get reaallyy bad cramps which sux :(

  • I never hurt at all.

But having a period is a pain in the a** because it (surprise) it gets in your panties and you have to wash them. Wearing a pad feels like you're wearing a diaper. And tampons carry a risk for infection.

Most of the time, you can feel the blood leaking out...uggghhh

  • Funny I see this because I'm on my period right now. I'm on my second day today.
Honestly I can feel it coming out it's sort of like your peeing but it's thicker and you can't control it at all like you can with pee. It's kind of annoying especially the cramps and I have to poop a lot when I'm on my period too, just about every time I go to the bathroom on my period I'm pooping. I pee a lot as it is anyway.

  • It feels like a rabid pirahanna gnawing on your back and a baby elephant tap dancing on your lower stomach. At least, for me. Tampons are a godsend, for sometimes with a pad before it absorbs the blood you can feel it and it's simply repulsive.

For 24 hours, I refuse to move more than the 20 steps from my couch to the bathroom and back. My vocalizations plunge from a vast collection to a few various moans and screeches. Being on the pill has lessened this, but not by much.

    Survival supplies include:

    2 hot water bottles

1 blanket (to be pulled up and thrown every few minutes)

    1 couch

2 boxes of gluten free cookies

    1 box of midol

    1 bottle of advil liqui-gels

1 clicker with appropriate television programmed to no-thought-required cartoons

  • cramps, blood, pain, ughg not fun it blows.

  • It is like having sharp, knife-like pain in your sides at random intervals. Sometimes it is so bad I curl up into a ball.

And your clothes don't fit. Imagine how it feels after Thanksgiving Dinner when you've eaten turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, bread, and multiple pieces of pie. The only thing is that the bloating doesn't go away after the next bowl movement.

And then you have to worry about your clothes and possible stains in public.

Pads are like diapers and after about four days, they start to rub against your panty line and cause irritation,

With tampons you have to be careful they won't slide out or the string doesn't show.

And when you wake up in the morning your sheets are stained and your underwear is stained .

You get upset over the stupidest things and only get angry when people ask why your being bitchy.

    Periods suck.

  • First, there are the cravings. One carton of ice cream is simply not enough.

Next, there's the fatigue. Ever had the flu and couldn't lift a finger for three days? Yeah.

Then comes the period, and physically it feels like you're peeing without the relief of emptying your bladder. It's pretty much like your vagina suddenly has a small waterfall inside it.

The cramps feel like someone's stabbing at your ovaries, inside your uterus. Not fun.

Lastly, you feel bloated from water weight and your excessive blood flow, you feel gross for eating nothing but chocolate for a week, and you've got five new zits on your face. You feel sad and annoyed at everyone and everything. The world is ending and you have grown seven new heads, each spitting and hissing like Medusa's hair.

    And that's about it.

  • It starts off with cramps, which basically feel like someone grabbing your intestines and twisting them around. Then the blood starts flowing. That feels like juicy farts (sorry, trying to put it into terms men understand) and the whole area is sore for the first day or so, like someone just scrubbed it with a brush really hard. Your stomach feels bloated for most of the week, like you've drunk too much liquid, and my skin always feels clammy when I'm out in the heat during my period. As far as mood swings, I get really agitated, like every little thing that goes wrong makes me want to break things. Or I cry over stupid stuff. Some women crave chocolate during their period because of the sex-like feeling is brings. I usually just crave sugar, since I don't really care for chocolate.

Plus side: My orgasms are always better during my period.

    • How strange. so sex is better?

    • Oh totally! It's amazing during my period!

  • Think of it, as when you guys would come none stop or whatever happens to you. but really its not that bad, expect the stupid mood swings, suck. but its a great way to get out of class. just tell the teacher you need to change you tampon or pad, or whatever. and there sure to let you go. however I don't suggest a guy to try that.

    • LOL. So the "curse" comes in handy sometimes?

  • It depends on the person.
For me, I get major stomach pains which keep me up at night, even with medications, a few days/a week before. Then, again depending on the person and "flow" (light, medium or heavy) you either don't feel anything, or it feels like you are peeing yourself but cannot control it. No matter what position you sit or lie, you cannot get comfortable because it feels like you are being stabbed on your waistline. Chocolate doesn't always cure the pain, but it helps. And you just need people to understand that you literally have blood coming out of your vagina for 3-7 days. Nonstop.

  • It's the worst thing a girl can face every fuckig month, it's not all about a blood flooding out through your vagina, it's about all the severe cramps, backaches, headaches we get. And actually the cramps are the worst it just feels as if someone about 100 kilograms jumping over your stomach, and you've nothing to do about it, and for some girls -including me- the pills have no effect and make nothing better. This plus the mood swings that you face throughout the day, sometimes you feel like you're high and happy and just want to sing and dance and then ALL OF A SUDDEN you start crying and yelling for no reason, and all you have to do is to accept that because these mood swings are out of our control at this time the HORMONES ARE THE ONE WHK RULES. Also we will eat a lot literally A LOT, specially the chocolaty things. To sum up periods are awful and painful but believe me if something went wrong and 2 months passed without having it the girl will worry and feel bad about that. Periods with all its tiredness and pains but we got used for it and actually it became a part of our month

  • It feels like crap. I get the pretty bad cramps on the first day it starts and it's even heavy on the first day. Every month seems the same, also I get my period for 7 days a month. The flow feels great, I'm not joking! I love the feeling of period flow, just can't stand the cramps. I have to take 2 pills of Tylenol every time to make it go away, omg it really works for me. It does not have any affect on my flow though. I'm having it right now. All I can say is, "I love my period because it tells me I don't have an unexpected pregnancy and that there is nothing wrong with my body that it's totally normal to get it every month" I do skip when I'm sick or stressed, but it does not happen very oftenly. So I get my periods every month.

May I say, sometimes when I think of cramps that kills me... that I wish, sometimes, girls could not get periods at all and men do? lol It would be awkward and strange.

Or, girls could have penises while guys have vaginas? :P :P
