Is it like diarrhea? explain it in terms of something men can relate to.

I'm sorry, when I said "gross" it was my way of apologizing for bringing up a very personal topic. I don't really think it's gross.

  • pain. lots and lots of pain

  • It is gross don't be ashamed to say it nothing is good in it

  • Lmao, what an awesome question.

  • its nothing men can relate to.. except maybe getting kicked in the balls. except periods last for 3-7 days.

  • girls are disgusting. I'm kidding, I'm kidding!

    • U better be lol

  • it feels like someone is ripping my ovaries apart and it's painful-

  • haha. I've never actually thought of how to describe it. its kinda like uncontrollable peeing, but feels thicker. I agree its kinda gross to think about, but girls get used to it. I don't feel much pain, it kinda happens only at certain times, but I know people who have a lot of pain during their periods. Ummm the pain kinda feels like when your nervous, and hungry, and have to pee really bad, then get punched in the stomach. Sort of a combination of all those feelings :)

I now realize that guys are curious about girls, as girls are curious about guys. I always wanted to know what it feels like to have a penis :P

    • To answer ur question; its really distracting for the most part

    • Rofl

    • > I always wanted to know what it feels like to have a penis For the most part pretty good. It does have a mind of its own though which can be embarassing sometimes (eg at school as a school kid I hated it doing its stand up to attention trick if I had to go and stand in front of a class in clothes that made it obvious that it's mind was elsewhere).

  • Uh, well, I can't really describe it unless I know what you're feeling. I get nasty cramps, nothing to do with my bowels, it's in my lower ab and it is a dull ache.

  • It sucks, it is gross and painful

  • Heres how it is from my experience:

From day 14(the time you ovulate) my boobs get big and sore, and each day up until they day I have my period, they get worse, to the point where I can barely touch them! A few days before my period I get mood swings, and FOOD CRAVINGS. I mean WEIRD cravings, that normally come at night, and its usually for hershey bars, pickles, or breakfast food..and when you PMS you will find no problem with eating them altogether. The day before my period and the day I get it, I feel out of it, I can alost feel my hormones getting ready to release it, and I get hot flashes. It's different then the feeling you get from summer heat, I call it "internal hottness", because YOU feel hot, but you know the room really isn't. When it comes out the first time you can feel it push out(its so gross lol)...then the first 24-48 hours you get bad cramps..its just like all the other girls said a stabbing pain...just imagine having cramps above your pubic hair line..my cramps usually go away after I take an advil..but if I don't its miserable...i use tampons..so it really helps to avoid that feeling of disgusting wetness when you wear a pad...besides the cramps, I have to say the worst part of having a period is SLEEPING, because you have to wear a pad since your not suppose to wear tampons to bed...ugh it sucks...it doesn't matter what way you lay, or which pad you use...it normally leaks, and when it does you gota get up half asleep in the middle of the night to change the pad...(thats usaully the first two nites, after that it doesn't come out as much) well that's what it feels like to have a period in a nut shell!

  • It doesn't feel gross. When it first comes on it feels like you're under a rock trying to push it away. The rock just won't move. Then the stomach starts to hurt. That feels kind of like diarrhea but its your feeling. Diarrhea stomach ache but more of a cramp. It hurts but doesn't hurt that bad. The period makes the pain seem so bad. It hurts so bad that you want to take a fluffy teddy bear and squeeze the life out of it.

    The emotional part:

For me when I'm on my period I get mad at everything I see. Like every little thing just p*sses me off. For instance, if my computer mouse falls or computer goes slow I get really p*ssed. Its like I don't get that angry when not on my period but once my period starts the evilness comes out lol! It makes you just want to get mad at everything. Like "Come on! I'm ready for it bitch!"

Now when the pain pills come in the stomach stops hurting for a day but on the next day it hurts again and you're like "Oh great. I can't even lay down for the pain!"

To me a period makes me feel more comfortable because it brings out my dangerous side lol. I'm not that over friendly fool.

Oh and you get REALLY emotional on your period. Like when you think of a sad moment it just makes you want to cry like someone died but you get really happy when you think of happy stuff. I can't explain it too good sorry.

    AND THEN THE FINALE.

This BIG lump comes through your private area and you're thinking "Damn did I soak my panties?" But its only one of those blood lumps or something and you have to worry about not damaging the seat you're sitting on or the bed.

    • Oh eyah!! The blood lumps feel NASTY!! Especially when you laugh real hard or cough or something

  • Gross

  • its not that bad. For me...i crave chocolate 24/7 2 weeks before I get it. and when it comes out...imagine thick pee coming out of you slowly and wearing a diper to catch it. Oh yeah...and when you change it you get a nasty wiff of nasty! yuuup ; /

  • About 3 days before my breast will swell & get a little tender & suddenly dog food commercials make me teary eyed... the day before my lower back hurts a little and sometimes I feel a slight cramp in my lower abdomen.

If it's going to be a bad cramping cycle I'll get really sick at some point within the first 3 days and if you don't catch it before it gets bad with a handful of aleve or muscle relaxers then you spend the day with your face in the toilette, cold sweats, and a heating pad. Once they subside (it's usually a miraculous moment when you just start to feel better) you're sore like someone beat the crap out of you for another couple of days. These types of cycles are rare for me these days but had them a lot as a kid.

Mostly it's just mild cramping in your abdomen like (like after playing basketball with the buddies & forgot to stretch) but I usually feel bloated and yes, it is absolutely disgusting when you can actually feel the blood coming out which is why I choose to wear a tampon.

  • the first day is the worse, it feels like my uterus or lower tummy is being grated against a cheese grater...i feel bloated and have gas, sometimes it feels like someone stabbed me with a knife and is swirling is around and around in my tummy as I'm being tortured, it also smells sometimes, bad odor, anytime blood dries up it smells like decomposition, its also very wet, I feel like I'm peeing involuntarily nonstop, after the 2nd day I forget about it, it doesn't hurt, its just annoying to change pads every 3-5 hrs, and clean the area up...gets messy...and I wear black pants to be safe, and baggy sweats if I can so no one sees me wearing a diaper

emotionally, I turn bitchy and have anger issues and attitude problems. I just don't give a shit at that point. I'm in pain, pain like this can't be sucked up. sorry.

  • well a few days before it I get extremely irritable and I am conscious of the fact I'm really bitchy.. its just at the time I don't care at all

i usualy know I have it either because I can feel pressure down there and it feels like I'm leaking, or I get extremely bad lower stomach cramps and crmps in my lower back. that's the worst.

honestly, it feels like you have the stomach flu or food poisoning on the fist or second day.

after that, its not that bad, besides the fact of having to change your tampon or pad all the time and CONSTANTLY worrying that you're leaking.

for the last days of a cycle it just feels a little sore like your arms would feel the day after a hard workout

  • its hellllllllll.so many cramps in ur stomach and back.very intense mood swings I feel I wanna cry dnt know y.

  • Sometimes during a period a girl feels pain(sometimes even veryyy strong) in her tummy or back area,it can be really bad.I take painkillers also.We feel weak, our mood is really shit. It's important for us to eat healthy and rest enough during that time.
