What the least gross way to tell a guy you're on your period?

My period came early and this guy I'm seeing and I had plans to hang out tomorrow. and sex is usually a given when we hang out... I know it really shouldn't be weird to tell him, but like.. I'm texting him and it seems like an awkward conversation to bring up during a text message lol

  • Just come out and tell him. Guys expect healthy girls will have a period at some point you are together. I have no idea why you would cancel, unless it's just about the sex.

My time, my period and my cycle are all pretty clear. In the zone also works.

I thought it was silly to hear things about "my friend" and such nonsense.

The worst experience I have had was when she said, "I'm sick." I thought she was actually "sick."

I was also pretty annoyed by my ex who totally overdid it and said she was "hemorrhaging." Not quite.

  • What my ex-girlfriend would always tell me is, " TOM is in town," or "TOM will be arriving shortly". In which I would usually respond. I f***ing hate TOM, stealing my girl for a week every month. that bastard. xD

    TOM = time of month

  • me and my ex had a few code names for it and I'm sure most people have heard of these but it was a way for us to bring it up without being grossed out and for us to laugh about it lol

"aunt flow is in town" then he would say call me when the bitch is gone home lol"

    death con 1

    world war 3

    dr.jackel and mr hyde

    code red

    the curse

    redrum

and then I would tell him its a full moon ill call you in 4-5 days and he would say OK let me know when your not a werewolf and try not to kill anyone

  • I'm in the same exact boat, and I know how awkward it can be. What's worked for me, and he's picked up just fine, is stating that it's my 'lady time' right now, or .. well, I like to be funny, I'll say 'I'm currently being reminded that I'm not pregnant, so we'll have to get together next week'.. but that's just me and my silly humor. I feel if I can make a joke of it, it takes away any awkwardness 'cause hey--it's not like you can help it (apart from good ol' BC, I s'pose)

    • i like the "im currently being reminded I'm not pregnant" lol

  • My friends and I say we're "on the bench"

Like on the bench/sidelines and out of the game.

    • I like that one!

    • Thanks! I find that since it's a sports analogy it's a lot less embarrassing for guys to say too. "Are you on the bench?" Is easier for guys to say than "Is it your special lady time?" or "Is the red river flowing?" Or something awkward like that

  • Just tell him it's "your time" Most guys understand those 2 simple words.

  • It's that time of the month for me? Aunt Flow is paying me a visit this week? I'm surfing the red wave? I'm ragging it? If you want to go down on me today, I do hope you're a vampire?

    • lol ' I hope you're a vampire' that's gold.

  • "Hey dude, I'm kinda bleeding out of my crotch, just thought you should know." :D

    • "There's chunks and everything!"

  • There's blood squirting out of my vagina. Seriously, it's everywhere.

    • If he's still horny after picturing that, you two will probably have some issues to work out. Unless you're into that kinda thing. I'm not here to judge.

  • Just Tell him it may feel weird but every girl has one so I'm pretty sure it won't be that big of a deal

  • Just tell him.

He has to learn that girls menstruate sooner or later.

  • I would just tell him I have a friend who eats his girl out on her period so I would just come out with it if he has a problem then he is a d*** and you should find a new guy
