Yes, you can. Take the home pregnancy test 10 days after sex, then after another 5 days to be sure. That's what I've always done and I think it's standard procedure.
Of course, a home pregnancy test isn't as conclusive as a blood test, so if you really wanna be 100% sure take a blood test too.

Well, yes, that's true. Besides, I think a home pregnancy test would suffice, as long as you've waited at least 10 days after intercourse before taking the test. I've never had a blood test to check for pregnancy before. Just threw the suggestion out there in case you want to have zero doubts about your status.

You can wait till your next peroid is due or you can buy a clearblue pregnancy test which can tell you quite early on whether you've cocieved. Failing that, go to your GP or local sexual health centre and they'll be able to advise you in the right direction. Good luck!

I don't know if when exactly I'll get my period. Lately, it's been every other month. If I were to get it this month I'm 5 days late... should I just wait until next month to really worry?
If it would have been this week, then take a test now. It's little known, but the cheap tests at the dollar stores are actually more sensitive. Get them there..be sure to use the first pee of the morning and remember that the faintest of lines is still a line.
