What's it like being a waitress at a strip club?

Do they make more money than the average waitress or do they get tipped less because the customers are holding out money for the dancers? Just trying to figure out whether it would make more financial sense to be in a regular restaurant or a club

As someone who has worked at 2 strip clubs, one fairly normal one and another an upscale one I can tell you for sure the only ones who make money are the owners, managers and some of the dancers.

Wages? As a waitress expect to be paid very little unless it is one of those places that ask for plenty of experience.

Tips? Don't expect a lot as customers won't tip the waitress all that much unless you're as hot as one of the dancers and an excellent flirt, one thing for sure don't expect to get tipped a full 15% more than likely it would be more of a keep the change type thing. Some clubs do have a pool tipping system where part of the tips of everyone is pooled together and everyone gets a share, these are usually very upscale ones though and almost everyone is already paid a fairly good wage and there already is a service charge for anything you purchase.

You'd definitely make more money at a regular restaurant than at a club.

A good looking waitress in a strip club makes as much if not more than the strippers. Most strippers spend their money on drugs and costumes in the club along with tipping out.

Everything depends upon location.

As a waitress at a strip club I make way more than I did serving at restaurants. Of course it's the same as a restaurant in the sense that some people will tip, some won't. Some nights are gunna suck. Some nights will be amazing. Dancers do make more but I make good money.
