Who had their sexual orientation/identity figured out during puberty vs later on in life?

I thought my attraction to women was just a phase. I was even married to a man, until the past 3 years I went through some very effective counseling and became confident in discovering I'm lesbian (subsequently divorcing my husband earlier this year).

  • Puberty was when I noticed how much I enjoyed the female form, as all my friends were starting to fill out. I had boys who were into me just because I was an early bloomer, but I didn't return the interest. Too busy checking out the same girls the boys were.

  • I lost my virginity to a girl friend, my bff, (age 13) while we were talking/pondering about what a penis would feel like. I was pretty solid in my bisexuality from that point on.

    • What age?

    • We were both 13.
