Why didn't I get the big boob gene:(!!

Hi I'm 16 and for some reason I didn't get the big boobs gene like my older sister(she's 19). Here is the the comparison between us. Me: above average tall(6ft), small boobs(34b and 36a), long legs, short torso(im seriously like all legs) medium/big butt(not very big everyone says my sisters is bigger), big nose, big lips. I'm athletic body type. Thick skinny lol I have muscular legs. My sister: average tall(5'7) big boobs(38C or 34D), short legs, long torso, small button nose, small thin lips, big butt(that's what she thinks lol) I know we are different but everyone in my family has big boobs but a few:(. My mom does my aunts do like what the heck?

  • Because genetics are tricky. Just because there is a gene that runs in your family doesn't mean that particular gene will show itself in you.

    Seriously, there's nothing wrong with small boobs. Everyone is different. I don't get why so many women feel bad about their small breasts. The majority of guys don't even care, sure there are some who prefer larger but there are also a few who prefer smaller. However, most don't care as long as you HAVE boobs. It's really not that big of a deal.

  • I don't really like my boobs either, I think they are small. But I am never going to get plastic surgery on them. Instead I try other tactics to make myself feel better like wearing a double push up bra. My boyfriend knows I do it and still loves my boobs even when I'm not wearing a bra. This is to make myself feel better.

    I mean how big do you want it to be? bigger than theirs? it's not pleasant carrying boobs of the size of a beach ball...

  • Well, it sounds like maybe she's you're half sister? And don't be discouraged women have changes as do men they get older, you are not fully grown physically until 18, men are physically grwon around 17-20. Everyone matures at their own rate everyone is different and individual.

    Some men get growth spurts and grow inches around 16-20. You don't need to worry about you're body there's nothing wrong with you, in fact, I'm sure a lot of women are jealous of you.

  • I know how you feel. I used to say the same thing about my penis when I was your age, stuck at lame old average while you hear constant swooning about bigger ones and even some mean stuff towards anything that doesn't fit the "typical image". Its best to not really look into it. There are so much more important factors that you can change and therefore, should be concentrating on instead.

    • I try to change other thighs but I just still feel like I look disgusting:(

    • I used to be down on myself for a long time over my size because of something that happened as a result of my first experience. I was literally obsessing over it every time I thought about sex and even considered surgery. I never bothered with girls thought-out my teenage years into my early 20's after my bad experience which is something I deeply regret to this day. I'm just saying don't let something as trivial as this, effect you so much like it did to me. Forget the negative crap others say.

    • I really do try:,( but I've become so customed to thinking this way about myself. I wish I was completely different. I feel like I was a mistake. I know this is cruel to say but I sometimes wish I died when I was born.(I was sick when I was born and I was supposed to die)

    • Lol I don't mind dating a shorter guy. I don't exactly have many standards. I'm not liked anyway by guys

    • Oh well I'm 5'1" and couldn't imagine dating a shorter guy :p If you're just in high school don't worry about it. Everyone isn't through being cranky and awkward. You'll have lots of guys in college, and if short guys know you like them you'll have to have them take a number. (My brother is only 5'4", he loves tall girls but they just all pat him on the head like he's a tiny puppy or something :p )

    • As for not getting your mom's boobs, what about your dad's side of the family? My mom was captain of the itty bitty titty committee in high school but I got C-cups. My dad's side of the family was a little heavier so I'm curvier even though my mom was rail-thin in high school. Also, don't go off your mother's current breast size, breast feeding changes EVERYTHING.

  • small boobs aren't something to complain about, Big breasts give you back pain, and guys are always trying to sneak a peak at them and it just gets annoying, you need to stop worrying so much about your breasts and start looking positively at your body... PS, some guys LOVE small boobs such as me, you just gotta find someone who loves you the way you are now.

  • Honestly all I can is to not worry about it. Big boobs aren't something that every guy likes and plus you're only 16 so you could still possibly end up with big boobs. But really though, having big boobs isn't a big deal. If a guy won't date you because you have small boobs then he is definitely not worth your time anyway, so no worries.

  • Quite frankly what genes you get from who and what you turn out is frequently a crapshoot. Don't let this get you don. Sounds like you got some really got something anyway. I bet if you posted a picture of your body on here, you'd get a lot of compliments. Don't feel so bad. Besides, big boobs aren't everything.

    • Yea:( but I'm not exactly very curvy either and it's like I'm not super skinny I'm athletic body type and it sucks sometimes. It's either I wanna be more curvy or I wanna super super skinny

  • Recessive genes from a few generations back. I have a trait that hasn't been seen in my family for 4 generations. Also, at 16, your chest may not be done growing yet, I've seen a girl grow a full cup size from 18-20. Your body sounds fine to me. Tall, long legs, small/medium boobs, medium butt, big lips. A lot of guys go for what you just described. Personally, I think I'd choose you over your sister, just based on what you described.

    • I think you're just being too hard on yourself. It's not like you couldn't date a guy that was shorter than you, it's not that uncommon. I doubt you need to lose much, if any, weight, you said you had an athletic build with muscular legs, I'll tell you now, many guys will love those long, muscular legs. Do you know you and your sister's bust/waste/hip measurements?
