Why do girls disappear after sex?

So normally it's the guy that disappear, but I've heard that the girl can just leave after sex and she didn't leave her number, nothing. Just disappeared while the guy was sleeping though he did make sure she knew he wanted her to stay for the morning. What kind of an impression does that leave on the guy?

Hmm this is a good question. As a girl that once did this I can give you a reason why they might. So I had known this guy for a while talked to him on and off but after we had sex I was scared. I liked this guy a lot and I believed that I was going to end up heartbroken. I left even though everything went amazing. I'm not sure what kind of an impression it left on him. I would love to know but I guess unless paths cross again it just won't ever happen.

Fair play to her. But if I was the guy, I suppose my ego would insist that I had done something wrong, instead of just seeing it as a girl being confident enough to have a one night stand.

To me it would seem like she wanted out of there at any cost, but that is what the courtesy of a note or a phone call would eliminate.
