  • It's the end of a cycle. See throughout the month a cycle happens- an egg is released from the ovaries and into the uterus. There it sits while the uterus builds up a comfy wall of nutrient rich tissue, ready to house the egg should it be fertilized.

When no fertilization occurs the tissue, as well as the egg, are dissolved by the body and so the woman bleeds it out for a few days. Then the cycle repeats.

    • Good to know at least one woman understands her cycle. Teach them =P

  • Well, every 28 days, maybe more, maybe less .. It actually depends on the body.

But mainly 28 days, An egg is released from the ovaries into the uterus.

So when this egg isn't fertilized by sperm, They just menstruate.

It's a cycle that happens, it usually stays for 3-->4 days, others might experience more or less than others. usually all that bullsh*t depends on the body :P

    and that is a period.

  • natures way of getting rid of dead unused cells (blood lining in the uterus and egg cell)

the same goes for guys too ya know for example guys get horny and we release our old sperm by masterbating or if we don't we end up getting wet dreams and our bodies release it for us plus with the testostrone level being high it causes stress so you can say guys have periods too

  • Because women go through a menstrual cycle. They ovulate (release an egg) to be fertilized. Durring this time the endometrium undergoes changes preparing for pregnancy. If the egg is not fertilized during that time and implantation does not occur then hormone levels drop and the lining is shed.
