Part of it is a man's need for variation. We are programmed to "spread our seed" and that means we are programmed to be attracted to many different women. No matter how hot you are or how awesome you are in bed, you are still you, and guys will want something else once in a while. Now, some guys straight up cheat on their women and have sex with another girl, but most guys don't, and often don't WANT to either. But they still have the need for the stimulation that only other girls, who don't look like you, can offer. These days, p*rn satisfies most of that need, but strip clubs are another outlet for the same thing.
And as many girls have learned, "it doesn't matter where you get your appetite, as long as you come home to eat." If a woman plays it right, she can get some benefit from that sexual tension and arousal that her man built up at the strip club.
Never been to a strip club. Oddly enough, when I told a friend of mine that, she, yes she, wanted to take me to one. I wasn't even in a relationship. Why spend money to watch a naked girl dance. I never understood this at all. Same thing with why do girls like to go to a male strip club. I guess some just find it hot or entertaining. I will never go to one single, and I sure as hell will never go to one when I'm in a relationship. It just doesn't fascinate me. I usually get strange stares from guys and/or girls that I tell this too, but that's just the way I am.
Not every guy has a girl that is willing to do anything sexual they want. Rather then make the girl uncomfortable they go to a strip club.
The fascination guys have about strip clubs is not the fact that girls MAY get naked (they usually don't get fully nude) and swing around a pole to a 3 minute song. It's the art of teasing, it's the way she looks, the way she moves, the confidence she has in herself, and the fact that she knows she can turn you on and you have to sit there and take it.
Also, a pole dance is just a preview for a lap dance.
A lot of its a joke. Strip clubs are the male version of Rom Coms. (for guys who are getting laid, anyway).

the last part makes me feel like if I were to reap the benefits, it would only be because my boyfriend wants to be with the dancer not me. I didn't turn him on someone else did and it would make me think that he's thinking of them and not me.

no in p*rn you'll never meet the girl and you look to p*rn for relief from being sexually frustrated from your girlfriend. strip clubs you go and look at the girl and get rubbed up by her then go home to your girlfriend because you're sexually frustrated from that girl. Not sure to be honest, strip clubs aren't my things, I wasn't there. But I just remember him telling me that part of the story and laughing my ass off.
Most of us do not go to strip bars...as you have already pointed out, it does not make sense to go to a primarily male bar to get horny (and that's if the strippers are attractive) and then not be able to do anything about it...and sometimes your fellow bar patrons are a prettty rough group...would make much more sense to watch p*rn in the privacy of your own home..but best of all: a real, live, warm, breathing female! If your female was reluctant to engage in certain fetishes then p*rn would make sense...but the strippers aren't going to do that for u. Think if you get to checking you will find that very few males would go to a strip bar..at least with any regularity...

well I've been with my boyfriend for 3 years but it doesn't have anything to do with that. my friend works at one and she told me guys can't touch the dancers. I always thought they could so I'm baffled by the fact that guys just pay lots of money to stare at a naked person. I just want to know why guys do. I see it as a waste but to each his own I guess.
