Jerking off does not solve loneliness although it's a pretty good distraction (assuming you're not so lonely that you're not in the mood at all) while it lasts. I don't really understand your question, it seems to be based on several implicit assumptions on your part.
No assumption. I was just reading some stuff on human behavioral psychology. & it had private journals from men talking about masturbating when feeling lonely but then -as you pointed out- they said they still felt empty. so I think you hit it- its a diversion / a distraction. the endorphins probably help the pain of loneliness for a time & its a readily available supply of feel good chemicals..

I don't think guys jerk off because they are alone. They do it because they are bored, stressed, want to help sleep or horny. And why wouldn't we jerk it when we are alone? I won't yank it in front of an audience, heck I don't even like p*ssing with a crowd.

Loneliness has nothing to do with it. It's about sexual relief, and not having a partner to do it with means we'll just do it ourselves. You don't jerk off because you're lonely, you jerk off because you don't have a partner to be sexual with. You're lonely because you don't have someone to be intimate with. It's two different beasts with the same cause.

Sometimes we feel lonely and want company and feel like life sucks and need some time, then we masturbate and think about good stuff, sex and nice things, then when we come, we feel better. The few seconds of a guy after he came done are the wisest moments of thinking he has in the whole day. Then we get more motivated to do things until we feel lonely and sh*tty again.
