Why do men blame alcohol when they cheat?

I been drunk too, I know exactly how it feels but never have once cheated. My boyfriend confessed that he had sex with another girl in the beginning of our relationship, but blames it on being drunk and the girl kept on hitting on him and begging him to f*** her!

  • Um, girls do this sht too, a lot more than you may THINK. I've been cheated on once, same effing excuse. She didn't have sex, but her ex started making out with her and she let him. My bro just ONE month ago gets cheated on. SHE has SEX with HER ex. What's her excuse? "Baby I'm sorry I got really drunk and I didn't know what I was doing." Bullsht. She knew her ex was going to be at the party she went to. She let herself get drunk with him. She decided to see him even tho my bro had told her to cut ties with her exs for the relationships sake. o I don't want to hear that sh*t.

Fact is, irresponsible and disgusting people will ALWAYS have a freaking excuse about the dumb sht they do, male or female. Don't try to act like its just us, because that would be a goddamn lie. You just have to avoid stupid people in life as best as you can so they don't get an opportunity to hurt you or the people you love.

  • Booze is the number one lame excuse about anything really. Many people are just coward, and don't want to take responsibility for their actions. I know some (men and women) who are such cowards that they already know they want to do something bad and drink on purpose so they can use that as an excuse for their behavior later.

  • It's because we all crack under pressure.

And when you are drunk you fill and feel dizzy and want to find a place where you can calm down but if another person comes up to you and starts pressuring you and begging you for something your mind want's to get it over with and you do stupid things just because you want that person leave you alone.

He was wrong to cheat on you but that was on the beginning of the relationship where we all do mistakes.

At the same time , it must be a lie and a stupid excuse for cheating on you and not telling .

But if you know him very well, you know what the case is.

  • Sounds to me like he was not drunk enough since he said she begged him to have sex with him. A lot of people use I was so drunk excuse because it would make them sound innocent and to lessen his guilt. I don't know if you want to be with that guy won't say sorry that he cheated but he said alcohol made him cheat and the girl too. No one force him to do anything if he is not willing too.

  • I've said the same thing.

Truth is, I was young, very drunk, and alcohol removes your inhibitions.

Not every man blames alcohol on cheating.

    • did you remember the sex afterward ? details etc where you good? I'm trying to get if it was intentional and why would he tell me this one year after we are in relationship?

    • I didn't have sex. I ended up just screwing around with the guy. I barely remember that night. I was high and drunk as f***.

  • Because it's a cop-out. A way to justify irresponsible behavior.

  • Because it's more acceptable to some than "She was hot, so I f*cked her. Obviously."

  • Me and my ex-girlfriend talked about this near the start of our relationship, we agreed that we'd be okay about it if we really didn't know what we were doing, in relation to alcohol. But you'd have to be realllly drunk. I dunno, I see it as a worthy justification but not an *excuse* until your really past the point of no return, hahaha. Coincidentally, during that relationship and girl kept hitting on me and begging me to f*** her, hahaha.

Anyway, uh... Did he apologize for it?

    • Yes he did

    • Well, that's fine then, imo.

  • There are two things necessary. Drink, and opportunity.

You may have been drunk, but have you been drunk and had opportunity?

  • Blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-alcohol. Blame it on the vodka, blame it on the Hinny, blame it on the booze, catch ya getting dizzy

  • because they know they needed a bad thing but like a man blame something other than themselves
