Girls, why do my girlfriends legs feel like sandpaper? Is this normal?

She's the only girl i've ever been with... and i can't figure out whether her legs are rough like sandpaper because she has recently shaved, or because she hasn't shaved?

Well, the hair can start growing back (stubble) pretty quickly after shaving (how soon depends on the woman).

Some women don't. Others may prefer having shaved legs all the time. Some guys are bothered if their girlfriend/wife stops shaving her legs. Also, there's a lot of negativity toward women who don't shave their legs, so many women feel pressured to keep their legs shaved (it's silly, but I've even seen guys say that women who don't shave their legs are "unhygienic").

It's prickly because she has shaved but the hair is growing back, but it hasn't been exposed enough to wear down the tips to make them smooth. She could have shaves as recently as that morning or as long ago as two days - it entirely depends on how fast her hair grows.

As for shaving in winter - once your skin gets used to being shaved, growing it out for winter actually raises the risk for ingrown hairs and other unpleasantries. Also, even if she doesn't do it every day, many girls prefer their legs shaved.

Think about your face a day or so after you shave. Pretty rough. It's pretty much the same with a girls legs. When she's just shaved, they're smooth and when she hasn't shaved in a while they're sorta smooth too. It's the stubble period that is what feels rough.

Leg hair grows fast. You can already feel stubbles 10 hours after shaving. It's normal. Unless you demand that she shaves her legs twice a day, her legs won't be smooth. But believe me, no woman will want to shave her legs for you twice a day.
