  • They have to make room for the penis inside their body, so it squeezes out some air from their lungs.

When gay men are bottoms, I think they moan as well, so my theory works, but I'm not looking at gay p*rn to verify, you need to check yourself.

TBH, I'd actually guess since I do believe men AND women tend to moan being penetrated while men just being stimulated don't moan much that it may be tied to the fact that moaning helps you relax your muscles, which is useful if you're the one being penetrated in whatever orifice.

  • Why they moan specifically, instead of say laughing, or talking dirty, or being quiet? I guess it's conditioned for a number of women, for instance women choosing moaning because they heard a girl moaning in p*rn or in a movie with an erotic scene, though I guess it could be instinctive.

Most Helpful Girls

  • The feelings are so intense and the penetration feels so great, that we can't help ourselves.

It's almost like a reflex action.

If a girl is just laying there and isn't moaning, then something is definitely not right!

    Either

    A) She isn't feeling anything (for whatever the reason may be).

    B) You just aren't her cup of tea sexually

    • Do you think the same if a guy doesn't do it? I mean I know I personally don't make any noise, and some girls have thought that was strange, others thought it was fine.

    • No. I think guys are wired differently than women are. A guy can moan very little and completely enjoy the act. If a woman does not, usually this shows she is unsatisfied.

  • for me I don't physically feel the need to moan even though I'm feeling a lot of pleasure, I do moan to let my partner know he's doing a great job though, I think its the expected thing for a woman to do also.

i only really need to moan when I reach orgasm and even then its a few panting small moans not big moans

  • To express themselves, and let their partner know they are pushing the right buttons.

  • To answer your question from a scientific vantage point we really don't know. There are many ways and reasons that humans and other primates vocalize during copulation ranging from pain to pleasuring their partner. It's suggested that it's something done often enough to encourage ejaculation in males. There is no conclusive information on why it's done though and specifically why males don't.

    • By the way you should just give me BA. I'm better than these people.

  • I cause it because I am that damn good at it.

    • Or she could be faking. ;)
