Why don't every guys get circumcised?

With all the benefit from getting circumcised, why don't every parent cut their boys? I would appreciate everyone answers to that, thanks :)

  • One benefit is I can go a long time without getting off I guess due to the lower sensitivity--a long time. So I think it benefits the female orgasm for that reason. Of course it also helps to be hung too. As an infant I required the adult sized tool. I have been with a large number of diseased varmints and I was recently checked and still clean so the lower risk of diseases could be true. The odd thing is mine for some reason looks uncut and I do get asked about it because women think it is uncut. There is no way for me to compare obviously; but all I know is I wouldn't change a thing.

  • "All the benefits." Like what? Not being able to feel anything?

Being uncircumcised is better. You can actually feel something and it's so much easier to masturbate. Only downside is you actually have to wash your dick and girls are apparently afraid of foreskin.

    • How do you not you feel anything when circumcised?

    • Anything is an exaggeration... but with the removal of the foreskin nothing is protecting the glans from rubbing up against clothes, and over time this dulls the sensitivity. But really, circumcision is an outdated religious practice, and it only really useful for people too dumb to wash their dick... or those who have a medical issue.

  • there's like no benefit to cutting it off. Its one of the most sensative parts. How would you feel if you parents cut off your clit?

    • Also it genital mutilation. Its illegal to do to girls without consent, should be the same for dudes

    • Exactly well said!

    • I was cut and I'm perfectly fine.

  • I dunno, maybe because it's messed up to mutilate a baby's genitals?

  • Just for my own personal statistics, what do you vote?

  • The science behind circumcision lowering the transmission of STDs is flawed for multiple reasons, and pertains to 3rd world countries, not the developed world. One of the main flaws of the African circumcision studies was that men who were circumcised were also taught about safe sex, given condoms, etc, whereas uncircumcised men were not. Of course men who are taught about safe sex and given condoms are going to have lower rates of STDs than those who aren't.

Other "benefits" that people site are very subjective. What looks better to one person may be the opposite of what looks better for another person.

  • Circumcision as an infant, is a fairly simple procedure, taking 5 - 10 minutes. The World Health Organization and the American Academy of Pediatrics say the benefits of circumcision outweighs the risks. Benefits include less chance of getting some STD's, including HIV. Fewer urinary tract infections, and fewer kidney infections, among others. However, circumcision when older, is more complicated, takes much longer, with a longer recovery period, and is more prone to problems, than when an infant. I'm pro circumcision for infants, but would hesitate to have a teenager circumcised, unless there was an issue that made it necessary.

    • Circumcision business makes close to a billion dollars annually. Of course they would come up with a bunch of bull crap. Females are actually more likely to catch utis due to a shorter urethra, and catch stds by the way. Breast cancer is a real issue. Lets also lob off breasts too! Get real. Stds do not get prevented from getting cut. Safe sex does.

    • @theflash675 : I'm talking about male circumcision. And this scientific medical fact, not bull as you suggest. Your comparison of a small section of skin covering the glans of a penis, and lopping off a breast is ludicrous. I guess from your perspective, we should leave skin cancer on people, or just cut off their arms. It makes as much sense as you said. Re. making money. Most doctors make money, does this mean they are all suspect and can't be trusted? Same goes for nurses, patient aides, x-ray technicians, etc. The benefits from circumcising infants is determined by scientific medical research, not hysteria.

    • @theflash675 To catch something someone has to be throwing. I wonder where they put all the offcuts :P

  • Keep in mind removing the skin is almost like removing the hood of the clit so the dick will be a lot more sensitive but the pluses do out weigh the cons

  • Well for starters, it reduces sensitivity. My girlfriend has said several times that she's glad im not circumcised. Plus, you say "with all the benefits" but there aren't that many.
If my parents had had me circumcised as a baby, id be pissed. You can't just chop skin off dicks.

  • Good bait

  • While there are some benefits to cutting it, there are also some benefits to keeping it. Also some parents nowadays feel that it's cruel to cut it off at such a young age, when the baby has no consent at all.

  • Why dont all girls get circumcised?

Because its horrible to cut off babies bodyparts without any consent! Stay the fuck away from my foreskin!

  • They felt it was cruel or wrong

  • What benefits? There are no proven medic

    • Medical benefits and the non medical ones are questionable at best. Further it is a surgery and has the risks associated with surgery including infection and there have been reported cases of death.

  • Well it's a jewish tradition. They didn't have em big so they thought let's make it cute! Personally I would not, I hear there is a lot more sensitivity down there when circumcised. I dunno about all of you, but if the cock stays hard for longer then the sex keeps going. It's no fun to come before she does unless it for quick release. But that's what porn is better used for. The longer it can last, the better a built up orgasm.

  • Because the mother chooses to mutilate their babies because they think the circumcised penis is more attractive.. The American society of pediatrics has stated that there are benefits but not enough to make every baby get the procedure done

    www.aap.org/.../Newborn-Male-Circumcision.aspx

After a comprehensive review of the scientific evidence, the American Academy of Pediatrics found the health benefits of newborn male circumcision outweigh the risks, but the benefits are not great enough to recommend universal newborn circumcision. The AAP policy statement published Monday, August 27, says the final decision should still be left to parents to make in the context of their religious, ethical and cultural beliefs.

  • why don't we cut the labia minora off of girls vagina? i mean they're kind of ugly and it's more hygienic without them anyway right? why only cut guys?

  • In Canada there is no charge to get circumcised so promoting it for money making is bunk. It has been proven that it's easier to to keep clean and also provides less chance of sexual disease. When circumcised it's impossible to get these to common problems phimosis and paraphimosis, that many uncircumcised guys get. In recent studies it also has been proven that women with circumcised partners have a 49% less chance of getting cervical cancer. Not to mention that a high percentage of woman prefer a circumcised penis especially while performing oral. I'd say those are some significant benefits. To those that say it's like cutting off a woman's clit, grow up, if you have to compare it to a woman it would be more like cutting off the clit hood although not very similar.

  • Clinical research performed in first world countries shows that there are no benefits to circumcisions, but that there is a fair degree of risks.

As such, it is a practice that should be outlawed, not kept being perpetuated by mentally ill women with deeply rooted misandrist issues, that really should have no say in matters of bodily integrity that isn't theirs.

  • In my case for example it was with my consent. Though I was just 6 or 7, my parents told me it was a solution.

  • What benefits? It was more hygienic back when hygiene was an issue... but most people have showers... so clean it... also think it's pretty upsetting for the baby? Sure it won't remember in maybe a year? But at that time it's just going to feel pain. It's something that was done for a reason. Now it's pointless in most cases

  • It's like female mutilation. Guys looses the sensitivity in their dick especially the part which us the sensitive making sex less enjoyable

  • What benefit? There's so many negatives to it.

    • Such as?

    • @Tomblebee masturbation/sex can be really painful without lube. Then depending on which medical data and evidence you want to follow there are a number of other reported issues that can arise such as reduced sensation, reduction in overall size, as well as reported to be less pleasurable to women during sex.

  • Hell no I love the fact I'm uncut. My cousin had problems and had to get it cut as an emergency I'm not sure what the reason but it was medical. I remeber the smell of blood if he would sit next to me and one day he told me that sex doesn't feel as good anymore
