No matter how ignorant your comment may be and no matter how much it shocks me and disgusts me that you think it's acceptable to say that, I honestly hope that you never have to find out what it's actually like. I'm not going to try and convince you that someone holding you down while you cry and forcing themselves in you isn't a good time. But think about your mother or sister or girlfriend or wife or maybe even one day daughter. Don't think about some random girl in a movie in a fake scene. Think about a woman you love who has her rights taken away from her. A woman that you love being scared and used and hurt and sad. So sad she's hopeless. And she feels dirty and she hates herself for something she shouldn't be blamed for. Think about how every single time a man touches her after she's been raped. How she tenses up and pulls away. How she sits under the shower with hot water running over her because she doesn't feel clean or safe anymore. It's not just a bad night or an ugly guy. It's being treated like you're subhuman. Because rape is not a choice. Nor is it something to be joked about. It seeps into your soul. So much, that some rape victims kill themselves. So no, I don't think it's an exaggeration. But I hope you never find out. I hope you can forever live in your blissful ignorance because some of us no longer have that luxury
2 0 0 0I agree. I don't think people understand the effects it has until it happens to them. I hope you are doing ok.
Imagine you're grabbed by a man you don't know. He's a lot stronger than you. You try to fight and pull away from him but he's just too strong, he holds a knife to your neck and tells you that if you say one word he'll slice your neck in half. He holds you down. You can't move. He pulls down your pants and underwear, rips off your shirt and sticks his p*nis in you. In your butt, mouth and v*gina if you're a girl. He hits you, chokes you, beats you, curses you, spits on you, comes on you. He doesn't stop until your skin is bright red and raw, teared and bleeding. Then he leaves you there to rot. If you actually survive, somehow got help, didn't get any STD s or get pregnant, then you'll be scarred for life not knowing why this was done to you. NO ONE deserves to have this done to them. I don't care if the man is the most friggin hot guy in the universe. It should be MY choice who I decide to share my body with. MY choice of who gets to see it and touch it. Not anyone else's. And if you think it's stupid that girls who have been raped have a hard time dealing, all I can say is, maybe if you went through it you would shut your stupid mouth for saying such a narrow-minded, obnoxious, arrogant thing.
Have a good life.3 1 0 0Your poll is offensive. Girls are BRUTALLY raped. They are often beat up in the process. Young girls everyday, sometimes no older then 10, who've just barely started growing up, have their virginity taken away by perverted, disgusting older people. First times HURT A LOT for girls, especially without foreplay. How would you like it if someone shoved a big hockey stick up your ass really fast repeatedly? THAT'S how much it hurts. If you've really seen what people can do when sex deprived, you'd understand how horrible it is. Women are born physically weaker. When overpowered and raped, they feel useless, just a sex object made to be toyed around with by men, nothing more. Do you know how scary it is, to have a stranger enter your body? Getting pregnant from rape is no easy matter, either. If you abort, you may never have children again. Abortion is risky. A lot of girls raped aren't even able to take care of themselves, much less a newborn baby. Men like you make me sick.
11 2 0 3You didn't read my answer I obviously was not talking of rape situations where there is physical damage, STDs, los of virginity or pregnancy.
That's what rape is. There is no rape situation without those. It's mentally traumatising. You stupidity never ceases to amaze me. Unless the girl is demented, she will not enjoy rape. It's assault.
I know cases where none of those things happen, I think girls are just heavily socially push into making it worse than it is.

... what the f*** is wrong with you? It's because they have been violated in probably every way possible. The trust in the world around them is bound to be shattered and that'll f*** everyone up... come on...
Your mindset is kinda... derp. And you're looking at it like a sex craved moron.12 0 0 0Lol the male equivalent isn't that bad. I think that's why we don't even see it that way. Even if some ugly girl put a knife to my throat and raped me, I'd live and prosper. Even men that get raped in jail move on. I don't know, it's a girl thing.
0 1 3 2I think being raped DOES effect men quite significantly. You say that they just "move on", but the truth is that many suffer deep psychological trauma from it. The difference is that male rape is treated differently than female rape. Men arguably experience more shame and are probably less likely to a) tell people that they've been raped, and/or b) express how much it affects them. This is because of prevailing views that 1. Men can't be raped by women; 2. Men ALWAYS want sex; 3. It isn't
"masculine" for a man to not want sex; 4. A man who can't stop someone from raping them is "weak" and "unmasculine"; 5. A man who is raped by another man may worry about being viewed as "weak", "feminine", or "gay. I have a close, male relative who was raped, and I can tell you that it affects him greatly.
Also, it isn't "masculine" to express how much something effects you emotionally/psychologically.

7 8Ladies, you realize this is not a normal healthy guy asking this question.
7 1 0 1You're a troll. I hope another man troll comes around and gives you a taste of what you're ranting about
7 0 0 1same here
ive been sexually abused mutiable times... and rape is no joke because of all the abuse it has caused me a lot of metal and physical pain its basicly the equal of a guy getting ass raped in jail then made fun of all the time for it
0 0 0 0I'm embarrassed you you.
7 0 0 0For you.
It is different for girls... That is easy to say for a guy to not exactly go as crazy as a girl would.
If a guy rapes a girl, it is not usually to get action... it is all about control.
Someone in my family got raped about 3 times, none of which was her fault, and no she was not "asking for it". Most girls won't even tell you that they have been raped till many years later because of being traumatized. Now in days girls are getting better at opening up and telling.
One will never really understand what it is like until you have actually experienced it.
They can severely, physically hurt the girl... my sisters friend got raped by like 2 or 3 guys in the same night, one after the other... it really f***ed her up, she had to go to the doctor.
Seriously, you really have no idea... : (2 0 0 0I don't see how it's "different for girls".
Yeah, I don't know why I put that there... I looked at it after I posted it and was kinda like "why'd I type that?"
Your poll options are pretty biased.
I think being violently penetrated would mess you up just as much. Did you know that most rapes are committed by a person they know and trust? I don't think your "some old lady" example comes anywhere near the thruth.12 0 0 1Girls are messed up because of this because the dude who raped them MESSED THEM UP. THAT'S not just something you can forget about and move on. It stays with you, inside your head, haunting you. After a girl gets raped, she is, 9 times out of 10, never the same girl inside. In some cases, the girl loses trust in guys after the incident, period, even if the dude was her best friend even, she'd still be a little scared, and who could blame them? They just went through a very tramatizing experience. Some don't even come out alive after being raped. It is, very, very, sickening to think that this happens in our world. I feel terribly sorry for any girl who has been raped. Your poll, however, is very offensive to women who actually do know what being raped feels like. Unlike guys, they're more emotionally sensitive, therefore, certain things can offend them more easily than they can offend a dude. You need serious help, my friend.
1 0 0 0Lol such a troll
5 0 0 0Women and Men both are equally devastated by this kind of violence inflicted upon them, the difference is in how the trauma manifests itself in their psyche. The way it comes out in men leads many to the false assumption that the man is OK when in reality he's probably considering suicide.
1 0 0 0When a girl is raped by a guy, it's so horrible, so terrible the world is coming to an end! Oh terrible woe and terrible suffering! Society cares!
When a guy in prison is raped by guys, listen to the quiet crickets! Society doesn't give a damn! That looks like the main difference!0 0 1 0It's pretty obvious.. They tend to have flashbacks often and can't let go or get closure once it happens.
0 0 0 0It's the female equivalent to a man's d*** being sawed off while everyone laughs at you and you can't fight back and there are no painkillers. And then you're left there to die. Some girls actually do die in rape situations. If you're so sure it's not a big deal, go experience that and then come back and tell us how you're not scarred for life. Then you may have a valid argument.
1 0 0 0no its actually the same thing as a man being raped.
Yes, but the question asker doesn't seem to see how rape is traumatic. So we must compare it to another traumatic event that he may be able to understand.
rape is a violent crime.
how would you feel is your father took you aside every so often, held you down and sodimised you (a guy) repeatedly ...imagine having some guys d*** forced up your arse against your will, some guy hurting and humiliating you, and getting aroused by that until he cums in your arse then leaves you for dead...do you think you'd come out of that and think to yourself "gee, that wasn't so bad, at least I just got laid"6 1 0 1He meant the male equivalent. That's just gay.
Are you retarded? Men can rape other men same as they rape women...it's the same brutal act, it being gay doesn't change that and it affects male victims the same way it does female.
Who wouldn't be messed up after that? Someone is abusing, harming, and humiliating you just so they can get pleasure out of it.
If people held you down and while someone beat and then raped your mother and you couldn't do jack sh*t about it would you still be fine afterward would she be fine afterwards?9 0 0 0What if it wasn't an ugly old lady, but a man penetrating you anally without lube?
7 1 0 2Gay
It's less about the fact that it's a man. The points that I was trying to make are: 1. It seems that the QA seems to view rape as more or less the equivalent of having sex with someone you aren't attracted to, so it's not that big of a deal. Perhaps he can relate better if he considers a situation like this. 2. Along those lines, I'm curious if forced penetration makes a difference to the QA. Would he view someone forcing themselves into his body without his consent any differently than
"someone trying to make him hard and put his penis inside them"?
