Its not worthless. I think a boy's virginity, is kind of beautiful and special.
We just live in a really sexist society, where boys can't be "pretty" or "special", in that way, and that extends to virginity for some reason.
Although, if you really must know...
If you're a gay boy, and you're young, there are LOTS of older guys, that would put you on a pedestal for your virginity.
Some girls will too, like me, but they're few and far between for some reason.
...
So yeah, I think boys are beautiful and special too... and their virginity SHOULD matter.
(Just like they should allowed to be pretty, wear dresses, make up - whatever they want.)0 0 0 0I couldn't give two s.hits less about virginity. It means absolutely nothing to me, except the obvious, that you haven't had sex before. Which I have no problem with. I've been with a couple virgins before, and I don't view them any differently than non-virgins. I don't judge a person's value based upon what I know/have heard of their sexual history, or lack of.
1 0 0 1Personally I don't think it is worthless...but I think it'll stop being seen as worthless when it stops being OK for a guy to have sex with every girl in the room. Not sure how long that will take =/
4 1 0 0Funny how girls hate guys who sleeps around, yet they are the ones who facilitate it by sleeping with the person? Yet they mark a guy who's still got his virginity as worthless.
what you just said doesn't really make sense. a girl may have sex with her boyfriend and why wouldn't she hate it if she found out he was sleeping around? it's not like she wants him to. and I think guys' virginity has the perception of not meaning as much because a lot of guys treat sex so carelessly...sleeping with as many as possible rather than someone they are in love with or whatever.
and I'm not saying that all guys are like this and I'm definitely not saying a guy's virginity is worthless. if you've met girls who think YOU are worthless because you are a virgin, they're just nasty people and probably not a girl anyone would want to have a relationship with.

Because we're not special snowflakes. We're people, ordinary, faceless, here to get sh*t done. The world doesn't revolve around us. Girls are special little princesses. They're brought up with a different line of thinking. It's a big deal when anything happens with them. Marriage, virginity, getting knocked up. There's usually a huge social event centered on them. Or it's a "big deal" and we should all care so much. Compare any life event... .always a bigger production for the girl. Except a bar mitzvah. But I'm not jewish.
0 6 1 0Oh, I spoke too soon. Jewish girls have bat mitzvahs. So they've matched us there. They can't let us have anything.
My thoughts exactly. Best answer
I remember going to my cousin's baby shower. Her husband was there, cool guy, just drinking a beer. Meanwhile she had a circle of girls around her all showering her with gifts and attention. And just look at weddings. The dude gets his tux, gets up there says some stuff. Meanwhile the girl is a major production. Huge dress. Girls fawning over her. Huge production. Bridezillas. Definitely a disconnect there.
Everyone has 2 types of virginity: emotional and physical. The emotional virginity is the one that everyone can lose just once and never get it back. Once you have sex, you're a different person, sexually speaking. The physical virginity is different. A male is no different physically after he loses his virginity. Needless to say, it's not so for a female. Once a female has sex, her body won't be the same anymore, regardless if she had a hymen before or not.
0 1 0 1True. but why is a males virginity worthless?
because we remain the same physically, even after losing our virginity. for women it is not so.

6 2I view male and female virginity exactly the same---it's the state of having never had sex before.
2 0 0 2You're not going to refer to your virginity as your "special gift" now are you?
5 4 0 2Hahahahahaha oh man this is exactly what I was gonna say!
That's cute...
LOL
Because girls don't play the cherry picking game with their friends as much as guys
2 0 0 1I don't know I've been hearing of far more girls hunting for guys v cards then the other way around these days just for the bragging rights.
It is?
1 3 0 0Pretty much. You don't have to look far even on this site to find the hundreds of women who hate guys who are virgins. What I want to know is why a guys virginity worthless.
I guess I don't see that. And I don't think that way.
I wasn't aware it was. Hey, you're the ones in such a rush to lose it, we don't care. O:
2 0 0 1Ouch at the don't care bit... I find that very hard to believe that guys are the ones in a rush to lose it from what I've seen it's the other way around with girls giving it up around 14 and guys still having it in their twenties and thirties.
Lol, but how many of those guys are virgins by choice?
Not many not that it makes much difference seeing as girls tend to give it up many many years earlier.
Because women look for men who will rock their world while men look for women who will be satisfied with what they have to offer.
4 4 0 0So does that mean in terms of a guys virginity? Does that mean he has less to offer then?
Depends on his stamina and imagination, I'd think.
it's not worthless
but in today, in 2011, virginity for both men and women are overrated0 0 0 1How so?
Actually I wonder more why the female virginity is appearently worth so much
5 1 1 1Cuz once it's gone you ain't getting it back. It's a once in a lifetime thing.
ya OK, that would mean its special to you, but why do guys care?
Why don't girls care? Why is it special to guys but not to girls?
