Why is missionary the only comfortable position with my boyfriend?

For some reason, my boyfriend and I have been having sex for six months and missionary is still the only position that is comfortable for me. It always seems that you prefer a certain position with different partners, but, with him, anything but missionary tends to give me enough pain that he notices that my reactions are different. I know he's going to get bored, so I'm not sure what to do. Have any other girls had this problem? I've been having sex for many years now (late twenties), so I'm not a rookie ...

  • oh I was the same! I didn't like anything but missionary... but after a while you'll get used to his... em... size. :p try this, just as another position we learnt worked really well for me, cos I get a lot of pain during sex in different places which isn't nice... you lie down on your back, he lies on his side next to you. put your leg or foot over his shoulder (the ones closest to the bed) and he goes into you like that, with your legs split. that way he has both hands free.. ;) and he won't be able to thrust that deep... also good move for making him come less fast. but just don't stress about it and relax... maybe try a glass or 2 of wine (I did that and we managed anal!)... don't worry more and more postions come with time... but try the one I suggested it's really good! :)

    • Thanks for the suggestion! We've been having sex so long, I don't know why it's not getting easier to accomodate more positions!

    • no problem... it's probably just cos your worrying about it... I was like that the first year (I didn't have much experience before though) and I got kind of nervous and I was so sensitive to everything it hurt quite often. but now I can do a couple more positions (doggy and girl on top, - but not sitting, I have to be lying on top like missionary or else that hurts... and the one I suggested which is the best ;) ) but relaxxx is the best advice I think.
