Why is my penis head so dry?

My penis head gets so dry sometimes and I was wondering why this may be. Also is there something I could use to help it from getting so dry. It usually happens after I get out of the shower and I try to use lotion to keep it "Moist" I guess you could say but it always go back to being dry. What could I do to prevent it from drying up?

i assume you're uncircumcised? because if you're circumcised it's not supposed to be "moist" because, yah know, it's exposed to the outside air... I wouldn't worry about it too much though

Yes,I am uncircumcised. It feels different than it did about a couple of months ago and the whole time before that.

I don't know like dry. I can't really explain it with sounding weird I guess it sticks to the skin while..how do I put this..retracting and it just feels dry.

You might be developing a case of jock itch. Try one of the OTC remedies... Tinactin, Tolnaftate, Lamisil, Cruex. See if that helps.

I don't think that is but I'll try to check on a medical site and see if I may have any symptoms leading up to that.

I literally had the same problem but I bought a cream for the penis it works really well I stay away from saop and when I dry my self I pat in stead off rubbing I know how u feel tho its not nice it had me thinking about it all the time

Don't wash your penis head with soap or detergents. Just like female genitalia, it's sensitive and such harsh chemicals shouldn't be used.(just a tip)

Well I washed it once with soap and it got dry then I stopped washing it with soap and just water yet it still gets dry.

With warm water [and a cloth,gentle] however the last part is individual. Yeah, stay away from SOAP. That's not good. It rinses away your natural lubricant and oils. I mean, perhaps you could see a doctor?

I think I may have to do that because I usually do just rinse with water and it still gets dry. I mean it starts to get undry the next day until I shower again then it goes back to getting dry.

vaseline is the best moisturizer I've ever had.. the vaseline petroleum jelly not the lotion.

Do you apply it every day after a shower or do you just apply it once or how does it work?

well I apply it to my feet, legs and arms at night just before I go to bed and they end up feeling so soft and not dry. but vaseline in a little uncomfortable wen its on you so that's why I put it just before I go to bed after a good shower. but I apply it to my lips every time cos it's not that uncomfortable when it's on my lips.

So just apply it over night and leave it on till morning or should it have "soaked" up by then or what?

yeah I usually leave it for the night and then I just rinse it off in the morning cos it doesn't soak it all

Drink plenty of water and moisturize. And stop caring so much. They're not known for being high maintenance. I imagine if a part of your body is prone to drastic size change, the skin there will also tend to look dry. It's normal.

No it actually is dry. It's gotten drier than before that's why I'm asking because I want it back to normal.

No it doesn't itch it just gets really dry after a shower and I don't like it.

Well it happens whenever I rinse or wash it with water. I guess you could say it like removes the natural lubrication that's suppose to be there but it also never came back but if you're not suppose to wash it with water then how do you wash it?

Actually you want to keep the head of the penis dry. Because fungus likes to grow in dark and moist environments. So the risk of getting an infection rises if it's not dry.

Don't worry about the dryness it's normal.

I don't know. It doesn't feel like this type of dryness is normal. It just feels different than it use to before.

I only washed it with soap once and I started washing with just water after that and it stayed dried.
