I wear men's thongs only because I like support and the feeling of wearing nothing at the same time. Contrary to popular belief its super comfortable, my girlfriend urges me to wear them instead of going commando now. But for ladies its a different question, Im not entirely sure what purpose their underwear serves, they have no goods to support. It'd be like me wearing a bra for no reason.
Entirely agree except that some girls sort-of leak all the time and need lined skivvies. Always felt thongs look slutty while naked just looks naked. Naked looks sexier to me than any clothing enhancement.
Even though thongs are skimpy, they still protect the most sensitive areas. The difference between wearing a thong and going commando is bigger than the difference between regular undies and a thong. Also, sometimes girls choose to wear thongs because they find them more comfortable than regular underwear or because they feel it's more attractive/ their sex partners like them.
women have stuff secreting from their vagina almost daily even when they aren't on their period and it's more sanitary to have that on panties instead of the inside of your jeans...which are also usually tight and that would be super uncomfortable to have that seam up your goodies all day.

I agree. I go commando a lot. Not sure about all this leaking that everyone else has an issue with (periods excluded), at least that is not an issue for me. I like the feel of it.

Jeans rubbing against your soft, sensitive bits isn't that pleasant. Your backside isn't as sensative as the front side, to be blunt.

It is a choice of individual, some like to wear Thong look more sexy rather than commando or some like to concealed private assets.

It's because of vaginal discharge. It's a daily thing. And also your clit and labia are very sensitive and jeans/pants can be rough on them if you don't have another layer of cloth
They are sexy, and some clothes require underwear. Normal underwear goes up your butt too and it's NOT supposed to be there. At least a thong is supposed to be up there. If I'm at home walking around in just undies though, they are probably some boy shorts. My fiance never complains ;-)
