Why won't my girlfriend let me finger her?

We have been going out for 8 months now. We are both virgins and we are holding off on sex. However, when we make out we end up touching each other down there but she never lets me put my finger all the way in, she only lets me rub it. I am okay that she isn't ready for it but I just want to know why she won't let me go in with my finger. I have tried asking but she never gives me a clear answer. Any thoughts?

You should just let her take her time, and try asking her why she's worried. Can I ask what these answers she gave where? Because they might not be clear to you, but they might be saying something you didn't pick up on (because honestly men can be quite clueless sometimes...).

I haven't tried doing it much because I am trying to respect her boundaries, but when I have tried it she said things like 'just because' or 'I just don't think you should'. Does it just mean that she isn't ready for it yet?

Just an update, if she thinks it will hurt too much then you should respect that. It does hurt a little the first time, but if you relax it isn't so bad.

she could be just scared. she really isn't ready if she isn't letting you touch her all the way. at one point shell let you. just be patient.
