Will I be flat forever?

I am 15 and have had my period for 4 years. My cycle is very short (it consistently comes 15-5 days early in a 21 day cycle), and it is pretty light. I am also a 36A. However, I am 130 pounds and only 5'4, so my chest size is not at the fault of being skinny.
My chest is a large source of insecurity for me because although I am generally a confident person, I feel like it makes me look immature to other girls. When any of them start to talk about anything pertaining to that area (which happens a surprising amount) I shy away because even though I may have input and an opinion, I feel like they would give me a weird look because I am so flat chested. When it comes to guys, I will always feel less attractive.
I've heard they don't stop growing until 21; is this true? Has anyone experienced a situation like mine? Does my irregular and light cycle provide any clues as to what the future may hold?

  • To tell it to you straight, I know very little about periods and the cycle, or what it all does to the rest of the body beyond the uterus.

As for breast size and development as a teenager, I can tell you that you shouldn't get too worked up about your breast size. It is probably safe to say that while you still have a few more years for things to grow out, you won't be ending up with gigantic planet killers, And that's ok.

Growing up and even into your early 20's, you will be self conscious about your breast size just as guys are self conscious about their penis size. In reality, the only person who is going to care the most is yourself because it is instinct to compare yourself to those around you or what you see in magazines, movies and on the internet. You're conditioned early on to thing that bigger is better. Bigger means you're developing great, but that isn't exactly the case.

Guys when they are young will think the bigger the boobs = the more mature/developed the girl is, yet their only experience in this department is from porn, where everything is essentially fake.

I have known a few girls back in high school who didn't have large breasts (or were completely flat) and yet I thought they were attractive as hell, which had nothing to do with how big their boobs were or weren't. I liked their face, their figure as a whole and how it all flowed together nicely, plus I thought they were nice and I got along with them. Their boob size was a fraction of the overall picture.

As guys grow older and into their 20's, they start to shed this old way of thinking regarding bigger being better and appreciate breasts as breasts, regardless of size or shape.

Besides, from what I heard from many women, bigger boobs are a hassle, which mess up coordination, cause back pain, they can make it difficult to find good outfits, etc.

Plus if you eventually have children, your breasts will increase in size by a lot, and while after pregnancy they reduce back in size, they never really go back to their original size and you're permanently stuck with larger boobs, which I did notice with my old friends from high school.

Anyways, give it time and don't get too worked up about them not being the same size as the other girls. There are many other parts of the body guys find attractive (butt, stomach, legs, face, neckline, etc.) nobody is perfect and everybody has "flaws" with their bodies, but if you got other parts if your body you feel are working it, guys see them.

  • That sucks. But hey cheer up not everything is as bad as you think. I will not going to lie to you. The bad news for you is that your breasts may be naturally perky. The good news for you is that guys love those type and there is a few years ahead so they will grow even more. I say focus on other important things like school, and when you become older if you are still unsatisfied with your size then have some implants, it is completely natural now a days. Hope that helps.

  • Honestly, it's better to be small chested. I'm naturally (at a normal weight) a 32F, but now that I slimmed down to an unhealthily light weight (I'm working on gaining it back, but it still has some perks) I'm a 30B. With my natural size, I had terrible back pain and had to wear a bra all the time. When working out I had to upgrade to two bras. This doesn't happen with a small chest. With girls I can give an input on bras and boob problems without them looking down on me for my size (they look down on me because I tell them that they don't wear the right size, but that's another story). And there are guys who are into small boobs, so don't worry about it. 😌
Small boobs are perkier too, which is a blessing in the long run.
So cheers to the itty bitty titty commettee. ✌
And maybe you are wearing the wrong bra size. I can help you with it if you wish. :)

    • In being a natural 34KK I can wholeheartedly agree with all that you have mentioned.

    • I feel bad for sorry for your back @EmmaMary. @.@ 🤤

    • Thank you, your words of kindness are very appreciated. x

  • Hun you are still young and I'm telling you, you will develop properly by the age of 20, you still have time to develop. Make sure you are your fruits and veg, exercise and stay away from fast foods.

  • No, and honestly if even you do there's no shame in it. Learning to love yourself is the first step to gaining the confidence you need to feel comfortable with yourself.

  • don't worry about it. like penis size, breast size differ from one person to another... just find the one who would love you for who you are.

  • Probably

  • There is nothing wrong with being an A cup in my opinion. It is society that says if you aren't bigger than that then you are not attractive. I love small breasts on a woman

  • There is nothing wrong in being a A Cup.. You're not even 18.. They'll grow.. Give them some time girl.. Don't go too hard! ☺
