Will a menstrual cup make me loose?

I'm thinking of trying a menstrual cup, like the DivaCup, but am wondering if it will make me loose? I can see how it could stretch my vagina a bit... I'm a virgin and want to stay tight for my first time. Thanks.

  • Firstly, as long as you practice good hygiene, the cup is our healthiest option. It is no more likely to get "stuck" or "lost" than a tampon, but if it did happen, the cup would pose far less risk: no toxic shock syndrome. Most cups are about as wide as 2 lady fingers; guys usually finger you with 2 (and theirs are bigger) before you ever have sex; so when you get to the main event, a noticable difference in your "tightness" is highly unlikely. If you still have questions or misgivings, Search menstrualcupinfo + wordpress + virgins-and-menstrual-cups (all at once; can't post links yet, but that should definitely help you to find the right site)

    • they do? i've been fingered many times by many guys and it's always been 1 finger.

  • They make cups?

    WTF...

    -mind blown-

I would just stick to pads...I mean...I don't know how I'd feel with a cup up in my sh*t, you know? What if it overflows?

    • Haha, it blew my mind when I found out too. That's why I'm trying to get more info before I even try them. The products seem to have pretty good reviews, but like you said I'm not sure I would want something so big up there. Seems like it could be hard to get in and out...

    • seriously... Unless Jesus had this in mind when he said, "drink my blood".

    • Haha your comment just made me lmao!

  • no. I'm going to try that too, its much less wasteful. better for the planet. its crazy how much we pollute the environment with pads and tampons.

    but no honey it wont.

    • Okay, thanks.

    • Why don't you just use something biodegradable or like they do with baby-diapers, those ones where you can wash them. If they had washable, reusable condoms back in the day... They probably have eco-friendly pads.

  • Uhh WTF is a menstrual cup?! Never heard of it but it doesn't sound safe or appealing.… I am off to google this phenom

    • Ok wow. It seems like it would make you loose. Just the thought of having a cup up my vagina collecting my blood makes me want to gag a little. I wouldn't use one.

    • Haha, thanks for your opinion. I kinda felt the same way, just 'cause it seems really big to get up there... but that's why I'm trying to get others' opinions too. Thanks.

    • Yea reading about it it says people have problems get it in and out sometimes. I also wonder, what if you are in a hurry? Who has time to try and pull a cup out of their vagina, empty it, rinse it, then fool with putting it back in? Sounds like a lot of work. Just give me a tampon! Lol.

  • I don't think you need to worry about that

  • No no no... You will not become "loose", the vagina is not some hair band that will lose its flexibility! Some guys seem to believe the myth that a girl will become wider if she sleeps with many guys, but this is just wrong. The only thing that really affect it is child-birth

Cups can be uncomfortable the first time, but when you get used to it is both more practical and hygienic, and they can stay in much longer than tampons! I say give it a go with the disposable one before you make your mind up :)

  • I think using a cup might have made me wetter down there during other times of the month. I guess it messed with my vaginal walls or something? I read recently that tampons can do this. I'm going to try to at least use cloth pads more of the time. partyinmypants (a brand) is awesome for cloth pads. Check 'em out!

    • wow what a name
