It's quite possible for the guy to tell the girl how he likes it done.
Plus I'm sure the girl could come up with some stuff that a guy could never do / has never thought of / etc.

It might be because they do it so fast so when you do it more time is spent and it builds up the tension for him.

It's great when a girl does that. It feels good much different than doing it yourself. If the girl doesn't grab "the thing" very well or she doesn't shake it good for you to come, there is always the chance to tell her how to do it. But even in that case I prefer a girl doing it.
