Wouldn't the sexual worship of another, BDSM, domination be considered Idolatry?

Fornication (porneia) - A sexual act of idolatry. The sexual act of worship with a temple prostitute, whore, or harlot. (Porne) - The Greek word for harlot who is a prostitute in the sexual practice of idolatry. Genesis 38:15-22 - A "harlot" is a village prostitute. Serving the purpose of sexual worship to BAAL the god of furtility. Ezekiel 16:15 - the acts of a harlot (prostitution) is called FORNICATION... Worshiping another god through the act of sexual union. Fornication is the act of worshiping SEX. The creature above the creator in a sexual union. p*rnography is fornication. Prostitution is fornication. Having sex for sex sake outside of commitment with a stream of partners outside of love is fornication. However, what if sex wasn't involved. Such as in the Dominatrix or Dominator Industry in which submissive people literally worship another human being, wouldn't it be considered Idolatry and hence, a sin? Idolatry is one of the most frequent and most frequently misunderstood themes in all of Scripture. When thinking of idolatry, images of a primitive person bowing down to a statue or something akin to it come to mind. But, when the Bible speaks of idolatry it does so in a broad manner so as to reveal it as corrupted worship in contrast with true worship. “They exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.” --Romans 1:25 God is our Creator and our worship is to be directed to him alone. But, as sinners we are prone to worship created things rather than our creator God and that is by definition idolatry. In the context of Romans 1 , this idolatry can be things God has made such as the human body and its pleasures (especially sexual), or things we have made such as human ideas about God and life that dominate philosophy and spirituality. As a general rule, it is easier to see the idols in someone else’s life than our own. This is because our idols tend to be seen by us as simply comforts, pleasures, habits, aids, and the like. Biblical counselor David Powlision says, “Idolatry is by far the most frequently discussed problem in the Scriptures.” This is because idolatry is the root that nourishes every fruit of sin. This also explains why the last line of 1 John says, “keep yourselves from idols. Why, because if we do then we will live in victory over temptations to sin.

I really didn't type this out, I just copied and pasted this info from a website to give you some info on what constitutes Idolatry by definition, if its too long for you to read, the question explains enough, if you are an atheist, please don't post on this question thank you. Not that I care, I just don't want to have an argument on the existence of God, I'm asking a simple question that doesn't involve that.

  • ok I have been a Dom and I have been a slave. if I was religious in that way then YES it is considered a sin. 1. most Dom slave relationships have pain involved and punishment. I'm pretty sure god does not look kindly on a human torturing another even if the other likes it. 2. you are worshiping some one other then god. big no no. 3. unless your married that's pre marital sex..

  • In the Old Testiment there is a lot of interesting things similar to this, including offering of virgin daughters for prositution (in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah) and also having sex with your daughters, things that are frowned upon today. So I'm not really surprised that this occurs too.

  • I agree with you.

    • You are beautiful, I would like to worship you like a Goddess, would you like that?

    • oh...thank you. :) but, not really..lol

    • lol, I was just playing, but I did mean the beautiful part, but there are lots of beautiful women out there, what makes you beautiful on the inside?

  • In my defence, that wasn't really clear.

And like I said before, I can respect believing in a god. However, I can't respect blindly following a religion.

  • It's fine that you believe in god, I have no problem with that. What I do have a problem with however, is people following their holy book by the letter. It's a book written 2000 years ago ffs. Is it really that hard to think for yourself.

    • How true ;) You don't see me bragging about Cinderella and all the wonderful things her book has done for me. Nope, she's a fairy tale. Just like god. And hey, GuyAdviceFromGuy, what about all those books kept out of the bible in the Council of Constantinople? Where regular old people decided what books should be left out because they didn't contain enough propaganda for Jesus Christ.

    • wow..you have anger issues... :-/

    • I'm not even f***ing Christian dude, this is off a website, I'm doing research on "Worship Vs. Idolatry and Sexuality" for a f***ing class, if you don't believe in GOD, please be mature and respect OTHERS THAT DO, I can't believe you can't even post something on this site intellectually without people trying to shut you down

  • I believed that typing god with a capital G was to show him respect. I see god as santa claus for grown-ups, don't really see the necessity.

    • Dude, it's fine if you don't believe in God, I could give a f*** less if you do, so please keep your ass off my question thank you, this question obviously isn't asking atheists

    • lol, sixstring, you got owned by this user and his god

  • Do you really believe that if there's a god, he'd give one f*** about what's going on in your bedroom?

    • Learn to capitalize God bro, it's a capital G

    • if I was god, id be watching everyone f.uck in the bedroom, good thing you're not god dude, you wouldn't know how to have fun!

    • They say God lives inside you, so if that's the case, he can see what everyone does

  • This is the weirdest question I've seen so far

    • you have some pretty weird f***ing questions yourself too brah

  • Idolatry is much more profound than sex play. Especially if the two parties are married.

  • One doesn't have to capitalize god, if one doesn't believe he exists. It isn't considered misspelled with a lower case g. And also, you don't even have a question... You're just stating what you believe to be 'facts.'

    • you didn't capitalize j in julie, you obviously don't believe you exist

    • Touche. In fact the name Julie_101 was already taken.

    • hey julie 101, I don't think the question is asking if you do or do not believe in god, its asking if something in the question is considered idolatry with what this user wrote, and lol, if Julie 101 was taken, why would you think of something else where you could capitalize your name, I'm sorry but you sound like a moron
