5 reasons why feminism is wrong

WARNING: IF YOU DO NOT ACTUALLY READ THIS POST AND COMMENT ABOUT HOW OFFENDED YOU ARE, I DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN TO YOUR CRAP AND I WILL TOTALLY BLOCK YOUR ASS. AS YOU WILL ONLY FIND OUT IF YOU ACTUALLY BOTHER TO READ IT, I SHARE VERY MUCH THE SAME BELIEFS AS SOME PEOPLE WHO SELF IDENTIFY AS FEMINISM AND ISSUES LIKE THIS ARE NOT BLACK AND WHITE.

1.) It claims to be something it isn't, and it isn't what it was.

I have absolutely no problems with first wave feminism. The suffragettes were an absolutely necessary part of ensuring this country becomes what it claims to be, a free and open country, with liberty and justice for all. But lets make one thing clear, the first wave was about SUFFRAGE, in other words, the right to vote. That was attained long ago, but feminism still exists. And what it fights for are none of the same things.

5 reasons why feminism is wrong

2.) It exclusively focuses on the needs of women.

As feminists would describe it, feminism is virtually indistinguishable from egalitarianism. But how they describe it is not how it really is. Feminism focuses exclusively on the rights of women, and places them above all with a buffer memory of ignorance and persecution. How many times, in how many ways from how many sources have you been told women are persecuted? Yet men comprise 9/10 of all suicides, 4/5 of all murder victims, 9/10 of all work related injuries or deaths, and over 60% of all prison rape. They comprise the majority of all homeless, as well as incarcerated individuals. But the statistics you see feminists quoting are always about non-prison rape and domestic violence, because these are the ones that make them look victimized. And its getting harder and harder to even find statistics that make them look disproportionately victimized, so feminists just start making shit up. Have you ever heard the statistic 1/4 women have experienced rape? This just isn't fucking true! Its based on a fallacious study in the 80s that classified ANY kind of sexual intercourse that wasn't explicitly verbally consented to (who says "i am consenting to have sex with you right now"?) involved any kind of spankings, alcohol or rough sex (which i can personally attest is a favorite among most of the women i've dated), or even any kind of uncomfortable hugging or touching as rape, ALL without the actual participants actual opinion on the matter. No one was actually asked in this study if they were raped. And the nature of their definition was so broad and all inclusive, so far off the rails from the actual legal definition of rape that any deviation from the plain vanilla "good christian sex" was counted as rape, and the study was posted on so many articles to try to make it seem like all men are rapists or something.

And its claimed that the intention of these studies is to HELP women, but all it does is serve to steal support away from male rape victims, make strong women who have NOT been raped out to be damaged little victims, and paint a picture of women as these fragile, brittle things where even the slightest touch or eye contact could make them wither or scar them for life. And the fact that these non-life threatening crimes are reported so widely over the actual life threatening crimes that steal thousands of lives every day, is a miscarriage of justice and media attention and a crime in of itself. The fact that men make up 40% of all domestic violence victims but have 1% of the shelters or support to turn to is APPALLING, and the indimitation tactics used to keep it that way, have the founder of the first ever domestic violence shelter seeking to classify feminism as a hate group.

3.) Modern feminism has its roots in marxism and domestic terrorism.

I find it hard to believe feminists will make such a fuss about domestic violence but not a single one will actually know who Erin Pizzey is. she's one of my personal heroes and one of the strongest women i know, and she was the first woman to open her doors to victims of domestic violence. Then she tried to do the same thing for men, and feminists killed her dog, threatened her family and tried to bomb her.

Erin figured it out pretty early on that it wasn't just women who were affected by domestic violence, and in many circumstances the same women who came to stay at her shelters would reciprocate the violence, even sometimes to a greater extent than their male counterparts. She wrote a book on how victims of childhood abuse would later go on to be the abusers called prone to violence, which got her a lot of heat from the feminist community, many of which at the time were self proclaimed marxists or communists.

there's a pretty nice video where she talks about her experiences with feminism in the 70s... And people paint it like its somehow strong hardworking women just trying to get by but its pretty shocking how clear it becomes that these women were actually abusive bigots who would straight up attack other women just for participating in a beauty contest they deemed patriarchial. There is a line she says that just nails it home where women are protesting with signs saying "all men are pigs, all men are rapists" she asked the police, "if this were black men or jews you'd be arresting them, why haven't you done anything?". "Because we're afraid of them."

And you can say we've come a long way from radical, fear mongering domestic terrorist organizations like weather underground or the womens brigade, but we really haven't. We've just obscured its roots, channeled it into corporatism and socialism rather than straight up communism. Feminists make BILLIONS hijacking Erins cause, and the women they actually help just serves as a sating excuse for the big chunk of the cake they take, which shouldn't really be any.

4.) It disguises priveleges as rights, success as priveleges, and uniformity as equality.

One of the biggest terms that i hate is the idea of a "glass ceiling". Feminists desperately want to believe that the reason they haven't just woken up on the top is because someone somewhere is out to get them. And they paint that invisible someone as the "patriarchy", an organization with no membership, no leaders, no structure and no philosophy other than oppress women and gain for men--ironically the very thing feminism represents only gender swapped. Well i'm sorry to break it to you, feminists, no one is going out of their way to oppress you in the workplace. And in fact, with affirmative action on your side, you've got a better shot at it than i do.

Let me put it to you this way. I'm 23. I'm graduating college this quarter with a bachelors in visual effects and motion graphics, i've got 3 portfolios more than a graduate actually should and i'd be lucky to find a job that pays minimum wage. I've got an IQ of 140, i've aced every aptitude test i've ever taken and if i can find barely enough to pay off my student loans, my credit card debt and my rent every month, it will still be a miracle. No one is oppressing me, no one is out to get me, the world is just a shitty place and the economy is crap. When rhythm and hues went out of business the same year they got an oscar and laid off countless talented artists, i didn't blame the "matriarchy", i blamed the producers and film studios for expecting post houses to cover their own incompetence and delays, contracting the lowest bidders, and throwing a temper tantrum every time VFX guys try to unionize.

Women are not oppressed. EVERYONE is oppressed. So when you got a shit life, you got a dead end job, and you're smart and talented and you still can't get ahead, don't blame men, blame the corporations that keep getting bailouts, blame the system for being so fucked, blame chance for not swinging your way because try as you might, there is always an element of chance.

and if by chance, the average wage between men and women is not perfectly 50/50, maybe you oughtta realize that not everyone is as hardworking as everyone else, not all WOMEN are hardworking, or even good people, there are some seriously, lazy, shitty women out there and you gotta accept that such a statistic is representative not of you but of people other than you. and if you are mad about the lack of representation of a female voice in film, don't just complain and make some stupid bechdel test... GO OUT AND PURSUE A CAREER IN FILM, PUT IN THE EFFORT TO HAVE *YOUR* VOICE HEARD, AND REALIZE THAT MEN LIKE ME ARE GIVING 110% EVERY DAY WHO MAY NEVER HAVE THE CHANCE TO HAVE OUR VOICE HEARD AS WELL.

I find it hard to believe feminists are so quick to expect representation in an area they don't even bother to participate in. I was reading this article where this guy pointed out just how few women there actually were on the seaseading forums for the floating city project. There was a whole thread dedicated to, "okay, we're founding our own country, building it from the ground up and creating our own laws and government. how do we get the women to show up?" These people are literally paving the way for nations. Are there a lot women involved? Not really. But best believe once the seasteads are up and running there will be feminists showing up to expect a 50/50 share in all the representation and profits. Thats feminism for you.

Demagoguery, noun:

the art and practice of gaining power and popularity by arousing the emotions, passions, and prejudices of the people.

5.) It harbors bigoted radicals who hide behind the intentions of righteous women

The absolute WORST thing about feminism, is that its not all bad people. there's two varieties of feminists, the kind that i've mentioned above, and the kind that just THINK that feminism is about equal rights, and the latter serves as an excuse for the former to continue their bigoted, hate spewing fear mongering disinformation and exploitation... the fact that there are self proclaimed feminists out there who ACTUALLY DO believe in egalitarianism and equal rights for all and not just women, just serves as a straw man that they can hide behind to proclaim that their intentions are noble. So if this is you, please please PLEASE abandon feminism. Jump ship. Call yourself an egalitarian and encourage every other girl you know who actually believes in equal opportunity to do the same. Because only once all those radical femi-nazis are left alone in the feminist cult with no more good women to delude or hide behind, will they be exposed for the frauds that they are.

If it is not the word that matters to you, but what it represents, then this should be easy. Those who make excuses like "not all feminists are radical" are either the radicals themselves, or the crutch those radicals use to further their agenda.

  • Regarding your second point, if their definition of rape was so broad how did they only come up with the figure of 1/4 - such a broad definition would apply to virtually all women.

  • And this is why as a women I am firmly against it because I refuse to allow men suffer because women think they are oppressed when in reality we are not longer in the 1950s. In this modern age, women oppression (in the western world) does not exist.
I have heard too many stories of brutality against men and too many stories of injustice against men to rationalize supporting a movement that wishes to oppress men more in an effort to bring women up. Us women are already up, we do not need help as of now and if you do, I'm sorry but that's to your own fault, it has nothing to do with you being a women (or it's related to being part of a minority group ie. being black, foreign etc.).
I have benefited far more than I should have and I have an unfair advantage against men merely because I was born a women at the right time.
I feel for people accused of rape, child molestation, violence against women (even if they did do it and even more so if they're innocent) because what's coming to them is far more than they ever deserved. No one deserves to be beaten and battered because they have problems, two wrongs never make a right.

    • well its not like there aren't women who are suffering, there are plenty of women who are. its just not at the hands of men. the real struggles of our generation aren't gender issues, they're corporate monopolies, post-multicultural exploitation (of which feminism is a great example), debt crises and the globalization of labor and technology that is progressively going to put BILLIONS out of jobs as machine labor becomes more efficient and specialized jobs become outsourced to the lowest bidder on the globe. and the evils that people do, rape, murder, theft, oppression... these things stem from desperation. desperation caused by the true evil which is exploitation. of the government, of social systems, greedy people just trying to screw everyone else for a buck and making that the way of the world... corrupt your soul like us or die poor and alone, so people choose the easier of the two.

    • That is very true. But my point was feminism shouldn't even be a thing anymore.
