We've all heard it...some of us, or most of us, are very attached and sensitive about our hair...I mean come on! Its on our fucking head. How could we not? Sometimes if we are brave enough, we experiment with our hair, and cut it all off! I've had the pleasure of having my hair down to my back, and above my jawline. Now, let me explore with you, my journey of annoying ass shit I got to hear during my time with le-pixi!
1) "Aren't you afraid you'll look like a boy?"
Lol. This one had me cracking up. Especially after having this go-pro picture of me taken during an airsoft match in the hills. I had a guy that I was "talking" to and he basically stopped talking to me because my haircut was too....manly...and not fitting the status-quo of CALI GIRL. Pft. Fuck off. LADIES: if you want to cut your fucking hair, DO IT. And don't be afraid of looking like a dude without makeup. You have tits, and a vagina...you are female...no matter what is on your head. (no pun-intended...just noticed that.)
2) "Awwww! Why'd you cut your hair!?"
Maybe because it's none of your damn business. Why on earth do people, especially people who do not contain utter importance in your life, find the unavoidable, UNNECESSARY need to ask such a stupid fucking question...that is mildly insulting? I'll tell you why: because they simply find it different...and they see you're struttin with your pixi and are adding just a little too much hater-sauce to their noodle-life. If you've heard this from someone when you have recently cut your hair to a pixi....you KNOW how irritating it is when a person found the nerve somewhere within themselves to come up and ask you such a question.
3) "What horrible happening did you go through that made you cut your hair?"
Of all the things I heard, this seemed to be the most ironic; seeing that almost everyone has a chance to eat a steaming pile of figuarative dog shit in their day-to-day life. No, I didn't go through a break-up, or anything particularly dramatic to decide to cut my hair. I was actually seeing someone before I cut my hair, and it was going well...until I cut my hair...and then it suddenly didn't work out. lol. I simply wanted a change. I did it gradually from an A-line, short in the back, longer in the front to my pixi cut. I did it because I wanted a change. I can't speak for anyone else on the matter, though!
4) Women with long hair are sexier
That is the biggest load of shit I have ever heard. All women, with all different types of hair are sexy. Its not a one way street with hair. Who in the fuck thought that a certain length of hair determines your sexy-meter. Hey, I practice every day, I look in the mirror as I'm brushing my teeth and say "Yes, Nadia...you are a sexy beast...even if your hair looks like total shit today." And it works rather well. I get up every day with the attitude that we have the opportunity to determine how people treat us. Don't allow someone to try and lessen your worth by telling you you're not appealing enough without long hair.
5) I like you better with long hair
Aaaaaannnnndddd I like you better with your mouth shut. This is tied into number 2. How much I love this remark. I like me better as ME. Long or short hair. It doesn't matter.
At the end of the day, we are all allowed to do whatever we want with our hair. Man or Woman. I think since the pixi and shorter haircut has become a little more popular in the last couple of years; however, unfortunantely I cut my hair when every one had the long hair trend going on, and anyone who wanted to be the girly girl in cali had long hair. Bottom line, if you feel comfortable, and beautiful, you don't need to worry about everyone who dislikes pixi cuts. Many people might say that I used this opportunity to show my own photos. But it was actually much easier to upload my own photos than to browse online for the right ones. lol. Plus, I was vaguely reminded of the ignorance of people when one of the people I graduated from high school with made a joke about my current cut...which is a bob. I plan on growing my hair out, and cutting it off again! ITS JUST HAIR. IT SHALL GROW BACK! :D

My problem is that I don't just go out of my way to tell someone I don't prefer what they've done. But chicks will come up and ask your opinion on their new style and if you give them any answer that isn't super positive they start shaming you and saying no one cares about your opinion (despite the fact they just asked for your opinion).
People who go out of their way to tell you you look bad is bad but asking for opinions and then freaking out at them for giving these answers is equally as bad.

Why do so many women get butthurt over people telling them innocuous preferences like this? I often get "oh I liked your old hair" or "I like facial hair better on you", but I've never made a post bitching about it, nor do I even mind.

Personally I kinda like that hairstyle. But only if it works. Some people just can't pull of certain hairstyles. I still like it though.
